Flying through the HOU from PVR to ATL and wanted just something light and not too expensive. But everything in the Houston-Hobby airport is outrageously priced!
Concessions they know travellers are trapped until their flights and will pay anything for a place to eat sometimes.
So when I saw DD on the concourse I was all I need is a coffee and a bagel because I know it will taste the same as my everyday Dunkin at home. Very friendly staff greeted me and asked what I would like to order. I didn't see any bagels but she said everything was available, learning that I ordered my usual Sausage-Egg-Cheese on a Cinnamon-Raisin bagel.... savory & sweet.... and an extra large hot coffee as it was a fresh brewed pot.
Great tasting coffee, with the right amount of sugar & cream. The sandwich was made quickly and tasted great and the prices is what made everything taste that much better! No $30 taco platter, or $18 wings. For 2 sandwiches and an extra large coffee it was $11.14!
Did it fill my tummy to get me home to ATL? Yes. Was it fresh? Yes. Was it tasty? Yes. So all the check boxes were filled.
Look you are not going to find fine dining at most airports so why should you pay fine dining prices for really bad food?
Travel the right way, simple and leave the fine dining for your destination whether it is for holiday, business, or just returning home, don't get ripped off. Just go for the Dunkin! Oh and by the way, there is a Baskin Robbin's Ice-cream at the same place, so you can even treat yourself to a scoop while waiting for your flight.

Read moreHorrible!! One they opened 45 minutes late. In an airport that’s not right. The guy doing drinks kept getting them wrong. A lady had to wait for a black coffee that he made wrong for over 5 minutes he didn’t think he did it wrong. The three doing drinks and the food were very rude. The two taking the orders were very nice. The young guy making the drinks got multiple wrong to the point that when I got to my gate people were throwing away their coffee cause they didn’t want to wait in line. I called the manager very nicely explaining what was going on and she was even ruder!!! This place is extremely unprofessional especially for an airport!!! Will never be going here again. I’ll take my business else place. The least they could have done was apologize for making a mistake no...
Read moreWhen I was standing at the Dunkin Donuts line at the Houston Airport, I noticed how the orders of some Caucasion individuals were being taken at the Fat Cat Creamery which is next to Dunkin Donuts. When I went to ask if I could purchase a coffee at the Fat Cat Creamery, the cashier person in the front stated that “the registrar accepts orders both from Dunkin Donuts and Fat Cat Creamery”. Then she stated that if I wanted to order a coffee, then “I should line up on the Dunkin Donuts line”. Whereas, she was taking the orders of the Caucasian people that were before me. It was very disappointing, discriminatory, and horrible that passengers of color like myself would have to experience this type of behavior. I will never bother again to stop by a Fat...
