Let me start by saying I grew up in New England, where there’s a DD on every corner and almost all have phenomenal service. Here in TX DD is very limited (this is the only one within 20 min of my apartment). I love DD and USED to spend $60-70/week at them. Now, I literally cringe coming to this one I still love the coffee/bagel sandwiches but the service is terrible. If you say your order thru the speaker it’s 50/50 if they get it right (apparently no one trains employees to know there’s a huge difference in the taste and sweetness of French vanilla swirl and unsweetened French vanilla flavor shot). This location is often swamped w/ customers in drive thru, so if they mess up the order, which they do more often then not, it’s 20min wait to get it fixed. Trying to ask for less flavor is near 90% wrong. It’s pumped out, normal large coffee is 3-4 pumps etc, I ask for a single pump, and almost always get waaaaaay more than that ruining the coffee. Today, during a pandemic, I placed a mobile app order. This increases the likelihood it’s correct, all they have to do is read the ticket and make it. Easy, right? Nope. 1/3rd of the time I’ll end up w/ hazelnut when it CLEARLY reads on the side of the cup, vanilla shot (how little do their managers care, if they allow workers to send stuff like this out the door, without taking 0.25 of a second to check it?!?). Today was the worst. I placed mobile order 5min down the street. I get to speaker and tell them, and then pull forward. I sit there at window for over a minute while I watch a Spanish lady wrap plastic shower cap like things around items on the floor (no gloves), she then takes my coffee cup and starts to make my coffee. No gloves. No mask. Didn’t even wash her hands after touching items on the floor. Nothing even close to clean sanitation. She adds too much ice to coffee and it’s starts to pour out before lids even on. Then another girl (who does have a mask and gloves) takes it to “mix”. She sorta-mixes it, coffee spilling everywhere and then hands me the sandwich and leaking coffee w unmixed coffee filling in lid. No napkins. No way to mix it. I have to use literally 10-12 chlorox wipes to decon the cup (remember germs from floor all over it) just to soak up the leftover coffee. Couple days ago, they didn’t even try to mix it. Again, no napkins to help do so. Both times, coffee all over me and my car by time it is mixed and ready to drink. I love my DD, so I keep giving them more and more chances. But management here clearly doesn’t care about customers, workers are typical kids these days that have no pride in what they do and an over-zealous sense of entitlement they haven’t earned or deserve, and the sanitation is appalling. Please please please fix this DD. Or I’m going to have to give it up and make due with Starbucks (cringe). Your location and poor sense of customer satisfaction/pride in what you do, is a grim reminder that an entire generation, just doesn’t give a F$&@ anymore. Establishment after establishment, staffed by these kids/20-somethings is: “Oops, honest mistake” Up to you to fix it bc I don’t care. Then by end of the day, you’ve spent 1-2hrs doing all of their jobs for them, no one cares if they get things right anymore. With so many people who are out of work right now, you would think those that have their jobs would take more care in doing them. We’re risking our health (and yes, my mother died from COVID-19, And she was young and healthy, so it ISNT fake news and it IS a risk) to frequent your establishment and give you business so you can stay afloat until the pandemic passes, so you’re still in business afterwards. You’d think you’d have at least a tiny measure of thanks and appreciation to those customers willing to take those risks to keep you in...
Read moreI have been to this location off Bay Area Blvd, twice...The first time was about a month after they opened. I went inside and ordered a mixed dozen. The young h/m was too busy with his notifications going off on his smartphone, that he dropped a couple of donuts on the ground, then picking them up and putting them in my box. I told him that I was not going to eat donuts that were on the ground, asked him to make a fresh batch. He shook his head and walked away. Uh, help health department.
I decided to give the location another chance. I went and ordered (x2) chocolate donuts on the way to work. I went inside to the location to order. I was asked was the order to go or inside. I indicated that it was to go. The young a/f pulled out a tray and placed the donuts on them. I indicated to her that it was to go, not stay and eat. Not sure what the communication break down was, but I paid for the donuts, and after paying she walked off to make coffee. I shook my head and walked out. I left the donuts. I enjoy giving places good reviews, but this location needs a lot of work. I will probably never go back. Ashley's Donuts down the street has been in the Clear Lake area for almost 20 years, and I love it. Their customer service is amazing, probably because its a...
Read moreI come here everyday, sometimes multiple times a day. I order the same drink everyday. Caramel cold brew with cold foam NO CREAM NO SUGAR. I know what it looks like and what it should taste like. Well today I get the drink and it was very very light colored, obviously with cream in it. I told them at the window and they argued with me that it did not have the sugar and cream because it didn’t say it on the label. They told me it was from the cold foam melting into it. Not true, they had literally just put the foam on as I pulled up and handed me the drink. It was already light brown before they added the cold foam. I told them it even tasted like straight sugar and cream and they told me that’s from the caramel syrup. As I said, I get this everyday. I know what it should taste like and look like. Should have remade my drink when I told them it didn’t taste right for the 3rd time. But instead one of the guys working walked away because he didn’t want to hear me out. Unfortunate, I love dunkin, but won’t be back to this...
