El Rinconcito Mexicano 2 — Restaurant in Houston

Wouldn't give one star if I could avoid it. I'm always excited for Mexican food . I was looking forward to this since it's been my first Mexican food late night trip since I moved to this side of town . Let's start by when I walked in . No one greets you , they all stared at me and my sister for a while once we got to the front to order the lady just kept walking past us ????? We didn't know whether to sit ourself or just wait . Finally she begins to take my order and in the middle of my sentence she answers the phone and takes someone's complete order and then threw my order in the trash and re asked me what I wanted . I let it slide then sat down . Brought cold chips salsa was good , then I ordered queso and it tasted like great value government cheese o___o I didn't continue to eat that , and o let it slide again , got the chile relleno ( my fav) only thing I ever get when eating Mexican . And it was awful . Beans ok , rice ok , but not the main dish . My sister was ok with her chicken enchiladas untillllll a big piece of liver turned up on her fork and she felt grossed out . I told the waitress that I didn't like my food and my sister didn't like hers & we were ready to go . She sent the manager. I tell him about my situation with the meals and ageee to pay half the bill . Got to the car and I puke everywhere !!!! I was so grossed out I scared myself . Like what the heck I've never gotten sick from food poison ever or puked my food up in my life . So I went back in and demanded a full refund and let him know I will not be coming back. It isn't real Mexican food & they are rude they laughed me all the way out the place . And the manger had to come to see my throw up before he gave my money back...

We dined in the awful place today. we ordered the drinks to Carlos (server) and asked for more time to look at the menu since it was our first time in there but another guy came rushing on us to order, I believe he is the manager or something. After ordering our food I asked him if I can keep the menu and his answer was “ what do you want to order?” rushing us even more when the time was only 7:20 pm and I don’t think they were about to close because more people were still coming in. The food was brought out to our table and Carlos the server didn’t even ask if we needed something else. After a while he stopped by our table and without saying a word, he moved the empty glasses that we had previously put on top the menu that we kept to see if they come and check on us; but he only move the glasses to the side and grabbed the menu and never say anything. I had to stand up to ask for Togo box and for the bill cuz we were completely ignored by them. Worst experience ever. Definitely won’t never come back. Food was good but the service experience was bad enough to never come back...

Horrible service! Even if you leave a good tip they still treat you disrespectfully. My wife after leaving a good tip, ordered a margarita. It almost took 30 minutes and the place was not packed. She wanted to see a manager the man behind the bar told her he was the manager. She spoke about the discourteous service and then he says you should tell the Manager that he was not the manager. Another lady behind the bar disrespectfully turned her back as my wife was complaining. News flash your job is all about CUSTOMER SERVICE. If you don’t like your job don’t take it out on the customers! The waitresses and the man disrespected my wife by ignoring her and lying to her when she was trying to make valid complaints after leaving a good tip. When she finally got the margarita we left it and left the restaurant because we did not know what “might” have been done to it. Maybe it is a discrimination thing. I don’t know but I do know don’t go unless you like being treated rudely, unprofessional and disrespectfully! San Antonio would be...
