I really do not want to start this review on a bad note so I will start with Positive feedback. We went in and were seated and Fredy was our waiter he was very attentive and friendly, was quick never kept us waiting long he has good customer service skills. The atmosphere was average and it was clean inside and out "Parking Lot" the restroom could use a little attention.. Now the reason I gave one 🌟, Fredy took our drink order I ordered a Pepinana and unfortunately they were out and he said it would be at least 10 minutes before they had more I'm very understanding so I ordered a Diet coke but I was disappointed because they have it advertised on the table's. I then ordered my Dinner Shrimp Cocktail, I was expecting to see the Shrimp Cocktail in it's usual long stem glass the way other restaurants served it but it was in a shallow bowl the amount of Cocktail was very small I also understand that everything is extremely expensive at this moment, I have managed several small restaurants so I understand that you have to make a profit for your business to survive in this economy, the size was not the real issue here. As I started eating I noticed my shrimp was very close to being "RAW" Fredy came over to see if we needed anything and I proceeded to let him know about my concern. I asked Fredy how do they cook the shrimp for the Cocktail he replied they boil it, my response was I think they forgot to cook mine, Fredy took my Cocktail and apologized several time's and asked me if I wanted to order anything else at this point I was done and let him know that it was fine and I didn't want anything else he promptly told me he was taking it off the bill. A few minutes passed and the manager came over with some gift card's and apologized and attempted to make thing's right and I appreciate that gesture.. I will be going back at a later date to give them the opportunity to make thing's right. I want them to succeed.. Thank you Fredy and the manager that addresses my concerns they acted in a very...
Read moreWeird how I come to give an updated review after revisiting this location and my review from last time is gone🤦♀️🤨 When we ordered last, the rice was made w/ WAYYY too much pepper.. to the point where I had to spit it out. I couldn't even swallow it 😭. I asked them politely to remake it and they seemed apologetic and nice about it. They remade it and we were on our way. Tonight we decided to try again and ordered the classic family meal. This time, we had the same exact issue with the rice(aside from the rice the fish was also a bit undercooked too) 😭😭. Had me and my kiddo in the parking lot chocking on rice trying to sneak a bite as we were leaving. I've been eating mambos for 15 years and NEVER had this much pepper in the rice like we have at this location. Idk how more people arent having this issue unless its deliberate for some reason. Although otherwise a fairly minor issue.. when we asked for it to be remade.. the way the employee acted behind the door to the cook is enough to make me not want to come back. I have always been nice and respectful to everyone at this location so there was absolutely no reason to act the way she did AND THE DOOR WAS WIDE OPEN for everyone to see because another employee had just walked through 🤦♀️. Frankly, since they don't know how to make rice I'd avoid this location anyway.. but the employees behavior was just uncalled for. Next time instead of judging someone over something so silly.. grab a fork and try it yourself before running your pst pst pst. It's unfortunate too because this location is right down...
Read moreWe definitely got discriminated against. My 6 year old daughter and I went in and sat to be seated as the sign stated. Not one person including the ones that made eye contact with me came up until a Hispanic family made it close to the door, she started to grap menus and waited for them to walk in all while not even looking my way.
She started to seat the Hispanic family until I spoke up stated something, after explaining to her that no one came and said or asked us about anything all she had to say was "okaaaayyy" with an attitude as if "it was good that no one came to us" meaning no concern or intent to correct what was done wrong she allowed the family to walk back to the sitting area. I told her I would be writing a review and told her it was ridiculous for us to be ignored like we were invisible and get mad like WE did something wrong. As I walked out she scream "what did she say" and I repeated the last few words of what I stated, I don't want want y'all fixing anything but I will see how far up I can take this and seek outside resources on us being discriminated against to see what can be done with this location. We had to drive another 10 minutes to a different location and make sure Jaun wasn't the district manager there because I refuse to spend my money on a staffs paycheck who clearly doesn't like African American people, enjoy making it very known and it very well showed in the actions of the...
