1.0 star rating 3/19/2017 I hae been eating here for years & grew up in this area. I left work in east Houston to pick up an order of jalapos & chile rellenos, at the request of my wife. Called in the order and the hostess asked what kind of chile rellenos I wanted, cheese, chicken or beef. I stated I did not know it came any other way except ground beef. She asked again what kind I wanted and I told her ground beef. I picked up my order and drove 24 miles home in Pearland only to find I had only cheese chile rellenos. I called only for them to acknowledge the problem and make restitution as they saw fit. The smartass hostess that took my order answered and began to argue with me that I had ordered gravy & cheese. Seeing I was getting agitated my wife grabbed the phone and asked for the manager. We waited and waited and the hostess came back on the phone telling us she talked to the manager. My wife interrupted her asking for the manager again. We waited again, only to have a Spanish speaking person answer our call. My wife told him we did not speak Spanish so they finally put Santos on the phone. My wife explained the problem and giving them an easy out, told Santos perhaps because of the loud noise in the resturant, the hostess could not hear. Santos wanted to turn this into a racial problem informed my wife that this was his best hostess and that they speak both Spanish & English and proud of it. My wife informed him that was not the problem, that we wanted some recourse as to our messed up order. Santos asked if we could return the dinner and he would correct the problem. My wife informed him we lived in Pearland and could not return. She asked to have a gift card or meal ticket sent to our email address. He refused and told us next time we were in to ask for Santos. I wave worked in retail for over 31 years and serviced many people. I can tell you this whole sistuation bordered on stupidity and ignorance. Santos just turned away two people, life long customers, who had taken numerous people to their restaurant into two very angry customers, who will go out of their way to disparage this restauarant. What is sad is that none of this should have happened except for one smartass hostess & a manager who...
Read moreI came here for a family event which called for the big room to be reserved for our event.
Food- we had a set menu of either mix fajita or cheese enchiladas. My husband and I got the mix fajitas. The chicken was so flavorless that could only be described as it was boiled then put on the grill just to get some color. The beef was so very greasy and flavorless as well. Not good at all.
Service- it was terrible. Our waitress, Nora, was very forgetful and rude. She insisted on speaking Spanish to my husband who does not speak Spanish. We were supposed to get tortillas with our fajita and my husband went to get them from her as she was handing them out but she went out of her way to give them to someone else then that person passed them down to us. She had our tables food on the tray but did not give it to us, my SIL got up and handed us the food. Had to ask many times for drinks and some of them never made it to the table. The one tray of drinks she did give us, she, with a very bad attitude, got loud and said “help me get your drinks”. I get people need help but ma’am we are paying for a service that at this point we are doing our selves and you’re screaming at us to get our drinks. Worst waitress and experience.
Cleanliness- as I mentioned we were all in a private room as it was a family event so we had our on restroom which you would think it would be clean. It was so disgusting dirty. It smelled bad. Paper towels on the floor and brown stains on the toilet.
Never coming back. You could not pay me enough to eat here again.
I wish I could take stars away, that’s how bad...
Read moreOn Friday, January 3rd, At 3:00pm we had about 45 people there for a late lunch after attending a funeral. The tab was a bit over $1,900.00. At 6:00, the server asked us to relocate from the back room. We sat at the tables by the Xmas tree with about 12 remaining people. We were socializing and buying drinks. Again our second tab was over $200.00. At 8:00pm, the evening manager told my friends 7 year old son who had been sitting in the chair next to the Xmas tree for well over an hour that he had to move because the chair was a decoration. I told his mom the lady had said something to her son, because he came to her crying. When she questioned the lady, who was the manager why she asked her son to move, she came out with some lame story about the chair being part of the decorations. First off, she should have approached his mother or father instead of a seven year old child. Why would you place a chair next to the tree? It should have been roped off if they didn’t want anyone sitting there. I feel the restaurants owner should be aware of this matter because that lady scared the child who thought he did something wrong. Is this the way you treat a customer after their family spent over $2,000.00 in your food establishment? Shame on that manager. She shouldn’t be working with the public if she doesn’t know how to interact with people. Your restaurant is going to continue losing customers with that...
