It had been years since I've visited this establishment and was deeply saddened by the quality of food and change in menu items. Chips and salsa: ✔️ Aguas Frescas: 🚫 How can you identify as a Mexican restaurant and not have aguas frescas? Not even horchata!? Although the presentation of the food was good, the taste was not. Met a group of 18 on a Sunday at 1pm. We made reservations and were seated in the live music room (none while we were there) but were told we had to be out by 3pm. WTF? Drink orders were placed, along with "appetizers" We ordered what USED to be one of our favorites, "Camarón Botana" as a starter and wow, it was gross. I immediately smelt something off, but thought it was probably the sauce the shrimp were soaked in. The size of the shrimp in comparison to my previous plates, were T I N Y. They were overcooked as well. As others tried the shrimps, they said the same thing... They were fishy. Leaving us wondering if they served us rancid shrimp. We also ordered a parrillada for two (more like 1) and the food wasn't even sizzling hot. The quail were overcooked as well. Others in the party has flautas, enchiladas and salad. This restaurant was once so vibrant and full of entertainment and now, it's as sad as a grey sky. They have deals and specials on certain days and I'm wondering if it's to bring a crowd back. Needless to say, I would not be one of those.

Went there for appetizers and drinks. The appetizers were excellent. The drinks were just ok. I think they skimped on the liquor. We sat on the music side of the restaurant. A dj arrived after we were there for a while which was nice. A little later, mariachis arrived. Each song cost $25. We asked them to play us a song but they said they weren't allowed to play on that side of the restaurant. It seemed to us that the restaurant wants people to pay for the mariachis for everyone else's enjoyment and restricts the band to the main restaurant where the majority of people were dining. Unfortunately, for us and the band, no one asked for music during the remainder of our stay and the band appeared bored We would have really enjoyed the music, especially because we had guests from out of town. Overall a decent expert.

Food was good, The waiter was very nice, but got our order wrong, I ordered 3 carne street tacos, my hubby ordered the same and we also ordered the ground beef and beans nachos. The street tacos were great, but didn't have lettuce or anything on them, and we were served 6 each, instead of 6 total, but were very flavorful. The nachos were chicken and some type of beef, but fatty. They just did not have any flavor and the cheese was cool and gelling already when we got them. Ordered the special of a bucket of beer for $11.25 or something. We never received the discounted price for either the tacos or the beer. Their charros beans was one of the best ever had tho. Mixed feelings about this one. I don't think we'd go out of our way to eat here again.

1.0 star rating 3/19/2017 I hae been eating here for years & grew up in this area. I left work in east Houston to pick up an order of jalapos & chile rellenos, at the request of my wife. Called in the order and the hostess asked what kind of chile rellenos I wanted, cheese, chicken or beef. I stated I did not know it came any other way except ground beef. She asked again what kind I wanted and I told her ground beef. I picked up my order and drove 24 miles home in Pearland only to find I had only cheese chile rellenos. I called only for them to acknowledge the problem and make restitution as they saw fit. The smartass hostess that took my order answered and began to argue with me that I had ordered gravy & cheese. Seeing I was getting agitated my wife grabbed the phone and asked for the manager. We waited and waited and the hostess came back on the phone telling us she talked to the manager. My wife interrupted her asking for the manager again. We waited again, only to have a Spanish speaking person answer our call. My wife told him we did not speak Spanish so they finally put Santos on the phone. My wife explained the problem and giving them an easy out, told Santos perhaps because of the loud noise in the resturant, the hostess could not hear. Santos wanted to turn this into a racial problem informed my wife that this was his best hostess and that they speak both Spanish & English and proud of it. My wife informed him that was not the problem, that we wanted some recourse as to our messed up order. Santos asked if we could return the dinner and he would correct the problem. My wife informed him we lived in Pearland and could not return. She asked to have a gift card or meal ticket sent to our email address. He refused and told us next time we were in to ask for Santos. I wave worked in retail for over 31 years and serviced many people. I can tell you this whole sistuation bordered on stupidity and ignorance. Santos just turned away two people, life long customers, who had taken numerous people to their restaurant into two very angry customers, who will go out of their way to disparage this restauarant. What is sad is that none of this should have happened except for one smartass hostess & a manager who...

I came here for a family event which called for the big room to be reserved for our event.

Food- we had a set menu of either mix fajita or cheese enchiladas. My husband and I got the mix fajitas. The chicken was so flavorless that could only be described as it was boiled then put on the grill just to get some color. The beef was so very greasy and flavorless as well. Not good at all.

Service- it was terrible. Our waitress, Nora, was very forgetful and rude. She insisted on speaking Spanish to my husband who does not speak Spanish. We were supposed to get tortillas with our fajita and my husband went to get them from her as she was handing them out but she went out of her way to give them to someone else then that person passed them down to us. She had our tables food on the tray but did not give it to us, my SIL got up and handed us the food. Had to ask many times for drinks and some of them never made it to the table. The one tray of drinks she did give us, she, with a very bad attitude, got loud and said “help me get your drinks”. I get people need help but ma’am we are paying for a service that at this point we are doing our selves and you’re screaming at us to get our drinks. Worst waitress and experience.

Cleanliness- as I mentioned we were all in a private room as it was a family event so we had our on restroom which you would think it would be clean. It was so disgusting dirty. It smelled bad. Paper towels on the floor and brown stains on the toilet.

Never coming back. You could not pay me enough to eat here again.

I wish I could take stars away, that’s how bad...

On Friday, January 3rd, At 3:00pm we had about 45 people there for a late lunch after attending a funeral. The tab was a bit over $1,900.00. At 6:00, the server asked us to relocate from the back room. We sat at the tables by the Xmas tree with about 12 remaining people. We were socializing and buying drinks. Again our second tab was over $200.00. At 8:00pm, the evening manager told my friends 7 year old son who had been sitting in the chair next to the Xmas tree for well over an hour that he had to move because the chair was a decoration. I told his mom the lady had said something to her son, because he came to her crying. When she questioned the lady, who was the manager why she asked her son to move, she came out with some lame story about the chair being part of the decorations. First off, she should have approached his mother or father instead of a seven year old child. Why would you place a chair next to the tree? It should have been roped off if they didn’t want anyone sitting there. I feel the restaurants owner should be aware of this matter because that lady scared the child who thought he did something wrong. Is this the way you treat a customer after their family spent over $2,000.00 in your food establishment? Shame on that manager. She shouldn’t be working with the public if she doesn’t know how to interact with people. Your restaurant is going to continue losing customers with that...
