Having recently dined at Gorditas, a vibrant Mexican restaurant, I am thrilled to share my experience. From the moment I walked through the doors, I was captivated by the warm ambiance, friendly staff, and, of course, the mouthwatering aromas wafting from the kitchen. Here's a detailed review of my delightful culinary journey.
Gorditas boasts an inviting and lively atmosphere that transports you straight to Mexico. The vibrant colors, traditional artwork, and tasteful decorations create an authentic and festive ambiance. The seating arrangements were comfortable and well-spaced, ensuring privacy while still allowing for a bustling atmosphere.
The staff at Gorditas truly went above and beyond to provide exceptional service. From the moment I arrived, I was greeted with warm smiles and prompt attention. The servers were knowledgeable about the menu and were more than happy to offer recommendations. They were attentive without being intrusive, ensuring that our dining experience was seamless and enjoyable.
Now, let's talk about the star of the show—the food! The menu at [Restaurant Name] is a culinary treasure trove filled with traditional Mexican dishes and innovative creations. Each dish I sampled was a masterpiece, bursting with vibrant flavors and made with the freshest ingredients. The attention to detail and the balance of spices in every bite were truly...
Read moreThis is a favorite hang out, mainly because the owner and her son are extra nice and tuned in to their community, and they always make you feel valued and appreciated. I normally go there for dinner, and even at 10pm, the place is bustling with customers. It is not unusual to see friends and neighbors dining there, too! I love sitting down with the owner for a brief moment to discuss news and events of interest, this family is rooted in the neighborhood from their start. Another plus is how their waitresses seem to hang on over the years, very stable staff that already know customer fav's. The staff stay on top of their service for sure and the food tastes very authentic. In fact, the place is very authentic. You almost feel back home. My favorite dishes are the Steak a la Mexicana or the Tampiquena. The meat is never hard, dry, or flavorless, the way they cook the meat is so rich in flavor and juicy in texture. You have to eat it slowly, just to savor the flavors with your whole mouth and all your taste buds. I stick to the fav's, but I also just stop by for coffee sometimes. Gordita's doesn't have Starbucks variety as far as coffee goes, still the warmth of the place warms your heart more than the coffee, and that's a...
Read moreThis place used to be awesome. I have been coming here since I was a little girl (for about 20 yrs loyal customer). The owners son used to manage the place for as long as I can remember and everything was always great, food, drinks, wait, service, etc.
Now that management has changed, we are disappointed with each visit. One of the times we came on lunch time (around noon on a weekday) the microwave "broke" and manager had to run and buy one. That's fine and all, but let your customers know, especially if you see them in uniform! This time around, chips hard and stale, 15 minutes to get drinks ordered, food order came out wrong, and there was a hair in the food!
Manager apologized when we went to pay and offered to not charge that specific plate, that was very thoughtful and we appreciated it, but don't think we will return. We drive about 35 minutes to come, but last 3 or 4 visits have been very disappointing.
Bus boy was great! Although chips were old, he was very attentive. Served chips promptly, when he saw waitress didn't give us a high chair for our baby, he quickly came to give us one, when our other son dropped something he hurried to give it to us...
