This is a small cozy restaurant a little bit off Ella next to Big Tex storage that we first tried about two months ago.
They have both spicy and non spicy dishes with lunch specials every day. My wife loves their sweet and sour shrimp, while I lean towards the spicy side of the menu, such as Hunan Triple Delight.
The food is prepared fresh and HOT! You will want to let it chill a bit before digging in. It's that hot and fresh.
The portions are very generous and the price is reasonable. The staff is very friendly and the owner will come out and talk with us each time we're there.
Any of the spicy dishes can be made more or less spicy depending on how you like it.
The pictures are from when I ordered the House Lo Mein which is beef, chicken, shrimp and vegetables served with a pile of noodles and tasty sauce.
We also ordered pork fried dumplings (potstickers) which you can also get steamed.
The lunch specials are available from 11am to 3pm everyday, and include steamed or fried rice and your choice of soup.
This is NOT a buffet, but a made to order restaurant and you can taste the difference.
The style of food is primarily Cantonese, with other styles included.
This is our new go to place for Chinese and we'll be back again and again.
They also offer carryout and delivery for those who are in a hurry and want their food got when they get home or back to the office.
They are open Tuesday through Sunday from 11am to 10pm....
Read moreThis gem of a restaurant was tucked away in the back. If you blink, you'll miss it, but it's well worth finding. We ordered the lunch specials: sweet/sour chicken and also pork. The order was served with 2 large scoops of white rice, a delicious veggie egg roll, and a small bowl of a soup of your choosing, we chose wonton. It had 1 significant sized, well tasting wonton with sliced green onion floating in the simple yet tasty broth. The main dish was served dry, with the s/s sauce on the side. The chicken was battered and fried up to result in tender, yummy strips. The pork, however, was a bit over fried, resulting in a dark, hard crust and meat that I submerged in the s/s sauce in order to soften up a tad bit. The sweet/sour sauce, while good, was nothing special, most likely prepackaged, very similar to what you can buy at the grocery store. I also ordered beef and broccoli to go to have for dinner. Even after reheating in the microwave, the beef and broccoli were tender and well cooked. Overall, the cleanliness of the place, friendly waiter, and affordable price make this place a good find. When we arrived, no one was seated, but a guest was leaving. As we sat in and ate, no one else came in to dine but they had many to go orders, and I believe they...
Read moreWanted to try a new Chinese take out as my go to doesn’t deliver to my neighborhood and I wasn’t in the mood to drive far. Boy was that the wrong decision!!!!
We got sweet & sour chicken, sesame chicken, egg rolls, & veggie lo mein.
This was the worst most nasty sweet and sour chicken I’ve ever had. It tasted like it was freezer burned. Seems as if they bought it frozen already fried and then just warmed it in a microwave. The breading was soft and gross, the chicken was chewy and disgusting. The flavor was awful.
The sesame chicken had good sauce but also tasted freezer burned. Did not taste fresh at all. Maybe even days old?
Egg rolls were mid. Nothing special but not horrid.
The veggie lo mein was okay but lacked flavor and the veggies were very mushy. It also seemed like it was not fresh, although probably the most fresh of them all.
All of this was just over $50 and we are throwing over half of it away because it tasted so horrible.
I’m incredibly disappointed. I don’t usually leave reviews like this, but since the place had pretty high ratings and then the quality was this bad, I’d like to steer others away from spending their money here. Waste of money & ruined our Saturday night stay at...
