Discovered this church Easter of 2021by accident, my friend told me we were going to a brewery to meet up with his girl friends cousins, but he forgot to mention that we’d be attending a second Easter service (we had went to a service earlier that morning). And did I mention it was at a brewery…got to enjoy some beers with the fellow members which was wonderful.
Long story short, I was completely captivated by the warm hospitality and welcoming of the pastor and it’s members and I immediately felt like part of their family and not an outsider.
The church as a whole as well as it’s pastor Justin truly reflect what Christ would desire his church to be: inclusive, loving, community impacting, and not caught up in religious dogma or excluding others based on tertiary matters of opinions.
This church can be called home by anyone, and is also a great place to get plugged into a small group to grow deeper with fellow members and work through life and all of our own individual relationships with Christ.
No matter where you are at with Christ, even if you wouldn’t call yourself a Christ follower, this church still welcomes you and seeks to be a home for you to grow and explore who and what Christ is and what he desires for a church.
Come experience this wonderful community and see what we’re all about. I’m sure you’ll come to love it...
Read moreWe’ve been part of this church for about three-ish years and it truly feels like home. The kids ministry is wonderful, with classes for every age group. My kids have been involved since my youngest was 6 months old (now 4) and they love it.
Services are contemporary with modern music. The band is great but it feels more like a coffee shop than a concert. Pastor Justin’s sermons are scripture-based, relatable, and focused on the love of Christ. His style is conversational and encouraging without being all about retelling personal stories.
The community is small enough to know everyone but still diverse like Houston itself. About 50 people come most Sundays. There are women in leadership both as pastors and on the board which I really appreciate. The women’s ministry is also growing with monthly lunches, book clubs, and even retreats.
Most importantly this is a church that shows up for each other. When my youngest had a medical emergency Pastor Justin’s family stepped in right away to care for our older son so we could get to the ER. That’s the kind of church family this is.

Read moreMy wife and I have been with Restore from the very beginning and are more than happy to call it our church home.
I had never been much of a churchgoer as a kid and teenager, it always felt cold and distant to me. The idea that I would regularly attend church on Sundays or even be actively participating seemed unlikely. If I was ever going to be part of a church it would have to be free from the prejudices and biases that I felt were usually present. When we moved to Houston and got to know Pastor Justin, he, his family, and Restore immediately became an essential part of what makes Houston home for us. Restore's efforts to be inclusive for absolutely everyone feel genuine and are demonstrated every day by Pastor Justin who is always ready to support you and to talk to you about absolutely anything with kindness and honesty. On Sundays, he delivers his message of love and grace through intelligent sermons that discuss bible verses through the lens of the original writers and point out the significance of the text in the modern world, which really appeals to me.
If you want to be in a church that is open-minded, supportive and loving to anyone, Restore will be a great home for you. Also, they have...
