Food- 2.5 stars Service- 5 stars Ambiance- 5 stars

Food is average. Go for lunch and enjoy yourself. The inside is super cute with nice decor/vibes. If you go for dinner (after 2:30p on weekdays), you’ll feel like you overpaid. Maybe with drinks, it would be more worth it. Portions are solid.

The service was top notch. Fast, attentive, and polite/professional. Zero complaints there. One of the best things about this restaurant.

Second best thing is the onion/clear soup (hibachi soup). It is divine. It is perfection. Perfectly balanced. Would come back and have that alone.

The rest of the food my date and I ordered was average. The food is decent- I definitely ate it and mostly finished. The issue is that the quality doesn’t match the price. We ordered: shrimp hibachi, chicken yakisoba, and spider roll. This cost about $60.

The fried rice tasted the same as at the mall. I don’t know how to describe the mall flavor and the sitting there all day taste- but you know the mall taste when you taste it- like I’ve definitely had this quality before. Don’t know how else to describe it. The spider roll had very little softshell crab- this is one of the main ingredients in this roll so it was a big letdown. The shrimp, chicken yakisoba, and hibachi veggies were underseasoned. Yakisoba was overcooked (chicken dry and noodles were mushy). As my auntie would say, “it’s not bad, it just ain’t have no love in it.”

Food should be better for the price. Definitely worth going for lunch (decent food, great ambiance, good music, drink options) if for two people it was closer to $30/$40. If you’re gonna spend upwards of $50 on sushi/hibachi dinner, there are...

Jellyfish Sushi & Grill is a casual Japanese restaurant located in a somewhat rundown strip mall, but at least there’s plenty of free parking. We visited on a Sunday evening with our 14-month-old son and immediately noticed that it’s very family-friendly—several other families with kids were dining, and they provided high chairs, which was convenient.

The menu offers a mix of hibachi entrées, nigiri sushi, and rolls. I ordered the House Delight Hibachi Entrée ($23), which included chicken and shrimp grilled with light seasoning, along with onion soup, ginger salad, hibachi vegetables, and fried rice (an extra $3). My son had the Kid’s Teriyaki Chicken ($8), which was just teriyaki chicken and white rice.

My wife tried three sushi rolls:

  1. Jellyfish Roll ($15) – Spicy tuna, sliced pepper tuna, cucumber, gochujang, and microgreens.

  2. Texas Himachi Roll ($15) – Yellowtail, shrimp tempura, sliced jalapeño, and ponzu sauce.

  3. Cherry Blossom Roll ($14) – Cucumber, avocado, microgreens, salmon, tuna, ponzu sauce, scallions, and soy paper.

Overall, the food was fine—nothing special, but it was not bad either. The flavors were decent, but nothing really stood out. The service, however, was great—our waiter checked on us frequently and made sure we had everything we needed.

If you’re looking for a fast, casual spot for a quick Japanese meal with family, this place works. If you’re after high-quality sushi or standout hibachi flavors, you might want to...

I highly recommend Jellyfish Sushi and Grill if you're looking for a delicious and authentic Japanese dining experience. The sashimi was incredibly fresh and the chirashi was simply amazing.

The sashimi was sliced to perfection and the fish was so tender and flavorful. I could tell that the fish was of the highest quality and that it had been handled with care. I especially enjoyed the tuna and salmon sashimi, which were both melt-in-your-mouth delicious.

The chirashi was also excellent. It was a generous portion of fresh seafood served over a bed of rice. The fish was perfectly cooked and the rice was seasoned perfectly. I loved the variety of seafood in the chirashi, which included shrimp, scallops, salmon, tuna, and yellowtail.

In addition to the sashimi and chirashi, I also tried the miso soup and the edamame. Both dishes were delicious and well-prepared. The miso soup was rich and flavorful, and the edamame was perfectly cooked and seasoned.

Overall, I had a wonderful dining experience at Jellyfish Sushi and Grill. The food was delicious, the service was excellent, and the atmosphere was inviting. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a great...

I had the most incredible dining experience at Jellyfish sushi and grill! From the moment I walked in, the ambiance was warm and inviting, with just the right blend of modern elegance and traditional Japanese charm. The sushi was absolutely divine—every piece was crafted with care and precision. The freshness of the fish was unmatched, and the flavors were perfectly balanced. I highly recommend trying their Chirashi, Sweet Shrimp, Crazy Rolls, and Tuna Tataki; it was a true highlight of the meal. The staff was exceptional—attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely passionate about their craft. They took the time to explain each dish and made fantastic recommendations based on my preferences. The attention to detail here is impeccable, from the presentation of the dishes to the thoughtful service. If you're a sushi lover or just looking for an unforgettable meal, Jellyfish Sushi and Grill is a must-visit. I can’t wait to return and explore more of their menu since I am only 15 mins away from this little gem.
