We made reservations for Saturday night and was surprise it wasn't completely pack. They got us in right away to our table. The server was very helpful in helping go through the menu since it was our first time here. The sashimi was fresh!!! I totally recommend it! Love their truffle French fries & their dipping sauce - fries came in a paper bag I totally forgot to snap the picture. The edamame was just salty. Was expecting it to be more flavorful. Crispy salmon salad was a little too dry and the dressing didn't wow me with the ponzu sauce. The Hokkaido was good but a little dry & the pork was a little overpowering the scallop, wish I tasted more scallops. On the appetizer sampler I was really amaze by the fish belly it wasn't fishy at all. Very creamy almost like liver texture. The raw octopus was a little too slimy for me. Took a shot of hot sake to flush it down. I would definitely go back for the sashimi & truffle French fries. Very nice environment it wasn't too loud. You're able to carry a conversation and don't have to talk loud. We kinda stay past closing time bc we were trying to finish our food but they were very nice and never rushed us out.

I came solo for dinner after work this week on a weeknight. Sat at the bar and over-indulged. Had a variety of things but my favorite was their Chutoro sashimi and the Wagyu skewer. Had the black cod nigiri special and that was delicious! Loved their hamachi Kama even though I had to box it up to go. Heated up well in air fryer. So good that I came back 2 nights later w my kids for their happy hour (everything on menu is $7 before 7pm)! Surprisingly my kids loved their chicken karagge and truffle fries. I inhaled their truffle edamame and this time ordered the black cod sashimi. Service was great on both occasions! Friendly hostess remembered me. I also forgot my credit card there and they kept it safe for me until I went back to get it. Really need to try their omakase next!

We discovered Ichijiku while looking for a new sushi spot in Chinatown, and it’s easily one of the best finds in the area. The restaurant is modern, clean, and cozy. The edamame was cooked perfectly, simple but spot on. For lunch, I had the Ichijiku bento box, my son ordered the two-roll combo, and my husband tried a rice bowl. The portions were generous, everything was super fresh, and the prices felt fair for the quality. What I loved most is how authentic it felt. No heavy mayo or sugary sauces, just fresh, clean flavors. We finished with green tea and yuzu ice cream, both refreshing and delicious. If you’re looking for fresh, authentic Japanese food with great portions and fair prices, Ichijiku is a must-try in Chinatown. We’ll definitely be back!

This was my first visit here with a couple of friends, and we were excited to check out their happy hour. As soon as we walked in, the wait staff kindly directed to the table, though I did notice that the seating is quite close together, so you might find yourself overhearing other conversations.

The happy hour selections were pretty good. We decided to skip the alcohol this time, but the spicy tuna roll served on flat rice crackers was absolutely delicious. The sushi tasted incredibly fresh, and the wings had an unique flavor that we really enjoyed. The truffle edamame was lovely as well, full of flavor. We found the dessert to be nice, but it didn’t quite stand out to us.

On the downside, our service was a bit slow. We had to wait longer than expected for our hot tea to be refilled, and unfortunately, we received the check before we had a chance to consider dessert.

I also want to mention that parking can be a little tricky on weekends due to the limited storefront parking and a small garage nearby.

Despite a few hiccups, we genuinely had a great time, and the food was satisfying. I'm looking forward to...

The quality of the sushi was okay at best. The price before 7pm is fair compare to quality. We ordered the Uni and when it came out it was clear that it wasn’t fresh which was a huge disappointment. The toro wasn’t melt in your mouth as expected either. The hostess was nice but the servers could not keep up with the volume of customers. They were clearly overwhelmed but held it together as best as they could. I dislike the lighting and how closely the tables were situated to each other. The space of the facility is small to begin with, so I understand the spacing of the table, I just personally wasn’t a fan of it. However, the establishment appeared clean. Parking sucks at this plaza so be cautious. People will park next to the fire lane making it difficult to get in and out plus the traffic has to divert around the illegally parked cars affecting the safety of other drivers. We ended up spending $212 for 2 people and we got a good...
