I absolutely hate this location. Really wish they would have kept the staff from the previous location (on Hollister and 290, next to the billiards). The previous location was bigger in my opinion and the original staff was much more pleasant, faster and had better overall service. I live fairly close to the new location and couldnt wait for it to open. I have been 3 times since and have had an unpleasant experience everytime. That is unacceptable. The first time they were seated to max capacity and insisted on sitting customers in the room in the back. It was incredibly uncomfortable, hot and a serious fire hazard. We were literally elbow to elbow and when the table behind us tried to get up, they bumped into my bf. Good thing we werent eating, it took almost an hour to get our food. The waitress kept coming back saying it was packed, but she would try to get our food out. This happened 3 times. We finally asked the upper management lady that kept walking around asking customers if they needed anything, for help. She wasnt apologetic nor did she seem to care about our dilemma. The food came out and was ok, and the waitress offered to 'take something off the ticket'. Um, this whole meal should be comped, and it was eventually. That was truly a 'never again moment', but I love the omelettes and ordered food to go for my lunch break a month later. Still had to wait and the food was not hot. Went a 3rd time about 5 months later (last week), this was the final straw with this location. There was no greeter at the counter, we stood looking like fools waiting to be seated, they werent busy and a waiter finally arrived acting very erratic. He brought a bottle of hot sauce and ketchup and placed it in the windowsill at the front counter then told us he would be be back. Comes back and seats us across from the kitchen (which i hate), even though half of the restaurant was avail. he brings my bf coffee and a splashberry for me. I notice lipstick stains on his cup and tried to wipe it off, when he turned the cup around, there was another set of lipstick stains. At this point, I tried to flag down the waiter for over 10 mins, he kept whizzing past us. Finally another waitress stopped and I asked for a replacement coffee. She asked 'Is he your waiter, that makes sense' and proceeded to follow him into the kitchen and scold him about being more careful. That was the last we saw of the cup or our waiter. He never came back, didnt take our order and didnt bring another cup. After about 15 minutes of waiting and watching him ignore us from the back of the restaurant, we walked out. Didnt touch my drink because I didnt trust them at all. So disappointed. I really wanted IHOP, but went to the Woodlands and had much better service. Never again will this place get the chance...
Read moreOk so I ordered takeout breakfast at IHOP this morning at 10:30am and ordered $60 worth of food. The app said my food was going to be ready for pick up at 10:51am and I went in with my sister at 10:55am. We are greeted by a lady and we’re told to wait for our food to be “ready” but weren’t told a specific time or to have a seat or anything so we waited. 3 other waiters came up and asked if we were waiting for anything and all 3 times we asked for our food and they said “ok but you already told someone right?” And left. Then this one lady came up with an attitude and said “yall need somethin” as if we were bothering them by waiting for our food in the waiting room and we, AGAIN explained our situation. Then a young man came into the restaurant with a big brown bag claiming it wasn’t his food. The lady in the front apologized and took it to the back and brought out both the brown bag, and the young man’s bag. He handed my sister and I the brown bag, with no explanation of how they messed up his order and accidentally gave him ours, or anything so we took the bag grossed out thinking someone already touched and opened all of our breakfast that we paid $60 for. The cherry on top was them forgetting our drinks, but before that the lady hands our bag to us and loudly says to check the bags while we’re in there. I felt disrespected and horrible because it wasn’t even our fault to begin with and now this lady is loudly yelling at US to look through the bag that one, was taken out of the restaurant and two, was already opened and things were missing from it. We didn’t want to cause a disruption seeing as there were multiple families and kids around but this was such a horrible experience that we came home and didn’t even touch our food. Our omelettes were melted, cold and moved around so they didn’t even look appetizing and our chicken fried steak was missing the gravy as well as our pancakes having green and brown spots all over them. I was really disappointed because we have been coming to this restaurant for years always tipping well and being kind but I have to say, I’m never coming back here. And if I could give this 0...
Read moreThis was my first time going to this location, & I only came here because it was closer to my destination. This was the absolute WORST service I’ve ever experienced. At the beginning, there was a shorter, maybe Hispanic girl who didn’t even acknowledge me after she finished helping the 2 people in front of me. She just walked off and went to clean off her tables. I then had to find someone else to help me and then a dark, thin girl politely asked if I had been helped and then helped me out. And then the other girl came back to help, and asked the girl, “what happened” and I’m just likeeee what you mean?? You didn’t help me. You just walked off…so after she takes my Togo order..I then wait 30 minutes for my food until I went back up to the corner and the dark skinned, thin chick was like “omg your still here” and immediately which to check on my food and brought it to me..after checking my food, I realized there was no straws. So then I asked a 3rd server (dark skinned, taller girl), if I could have 2 straws. She doesn’t respond and continues to ask the people waiting how many people they have. So I walked off to ask the girl who has actually been helpful. Yea, it was just horrible, those 2 servers made it a very nasty experience…and it’s my birthday, which they did not know, but I shouldn’t have to state that for good service. I really wanted iHop today, and they just made it not satisfying to be in the facility. But the food tasted great. Which I’m thankful for. Cuz that would of threw me over! I was so mad that I wasn’t even paying attention to names, that’s why I had to use descriptions. So sorry about that. But they need some training or something, or a...
