We ordered Juanita’s tonight. It is less than 5 minutes away and we are proud to have such a yummy place right in our neighborhood. The 4 previous times I have eaten their food they DID NOT DISAPPOINT. My tried and true are the chicken verse enchiladas. And their guacamole is pretty damn good. So for two people that order came to $30 just under which is more than reasonable for the quality of the food. However, not having transportation we did have to have it delivered through we thought was DoorDash but it turns out to be a Service new to us called Craven grub. I know how these things work, you have a delivery fee and tip(15%) which most of the time is about $10 additional. Tonight we paid on a $28 dinner tab $48 total. Now, I’m not complaining because someone else bought me dinner but I do think in this economy $20 or the food tab doubled , well this would have bought a whole dinner, Or sopapillas or A yummy margarita.. So it just seems a bit exorbitant., So consider yourself warned if you order delivery from here and you tip, prepare to spend double the cost of your food tab. I don’t order a lot of Delivery because I am on disability and so my income is very limited however, in today’s economy, it just seems like if people are literally ordering food several times a week and being charged that kind of money are we really in a recession? Is it really as bad as everybody says it is and maybe I should try to get a job at DoorDash… Oh yeah, there’s that thing that you need a car for that...

This used to be one of my favorite places! Today was my 30th birthday and I cancelled our reservation to Benihannas to go here because their food is delicious. Unfortunately tonight my family and I were greatly disappointed. We were seated by the restrooms...our usual table, the atmosphere is quiet. BUT TODAY there were 3 flies roaming over us!!! Even after we complained TWICE and kept shooing the flies away nothing was done. My husband ended up killing one with the napkin but the 2 remaining were bothersome. Our girls didn't even finish their meals!!!! I was very irritated!! Nothing was done...the manager just joked saying "si verdad un peso les voy a cobrar!" the servers just stood there by the kitchen door watching us while we ate and shooed the flies!!!!! They didn't even try to kill them!! We were waving our hands while eating!!! When the bill came I expected at least and apology or discount but nothing!!!! We will never go to this place again!! What a...

Bad food, worse service, weird smell... There's nothing positive I can say about this place.

I recently had surgery (hiatal hernia) so I eat small portions, my wife is not a big person so she naturally doesn't eat much. I understand this may seem to a server like we're cheap because we share one entree... SO WHAT?! we still TIP, and it's based on the service we receive, I'm so sick of this entitlement, you must earn your tip you are not entitled to a tip automatically based on how much I spend!

The service here was dismissive, I guess they deemed us as cheap and Unworthy of getting any kind of attentiveness or any sense of urgency....

I figured okay I'll tolerate that given the facts, maybe the food will be worth it, it wasn't. The food seemed like it was bought Frozen and then microwaved, the beans tasted as if they came out of a can, and the sauce seemed store bought.

Nothing good to say...

Came to grab a bite to eat after work and opted to try out this place because it was on the way home and got the California burrito (I think that’s what it’s called) and I was not pleased with my food at all. The burrito had some kind of liquid cheese or something and I’m so not a fan. The beans in it were good, but it had lettuce (which tasted a little weird) and beef and chicken and that liquid cheese that I mentioned. I paid $12.95 for the burrito and with taxes included, my check wound up being $14.03. The only reason for me keeping the burrito is because the servers were so nice, I was hungry and was in a rush to go home. But never will I go to this place again, nor would I recommend. Some pros to add were the chips were fresh and the salsa was good and like I mentioned, the service was pretty quick and all of the gentlemen were super friendly and attentive. Do not think I’ll be going back.

Alright, I've heard a lot about Juanitas and Mama Juanitas from several people this summer so we had to try it out. The menu is extensive. An option for everyone's taste. The plate size to price ratio is excellent, meaning you get a great amount of food for the price. Salsa and queso were very good which is something I always look for in a good texmex spot. We got an order of vegetarian chalupas and the El Gallo plate that came with chicken enchiladas in verde sauce and a fajita beef hard taco. Everything was excellent and the service was very quick and helpful. The atmosphere is what I would equate to a dive bar or local joint but had its cute quirks. We'll definitely be back as happy hour is all weekend and 4-7 through the week.

Man oh man, oh man! I was thoroughly impressed by the service and food! After watching Once Upon a Time in Mexico so many times, it made me want to try the dish Johnny Depp always had in the movie. It's one of those dishes you don't see too often in a MX restaurant but I was glad I saw it here. The menu lists it as the "Cochinita Pibil" and it was beyond my expectations. It came with rice, a little cabbage salad with picked red onions, and a choice of beans. I paired my food with a Negra Modelo which only brought out more of the flavors. I highly recommend it. I just won't shoot the cook like in the movie... lol.
