Let me start by saying that as a Thai person originally from Los Angeles, my standards for Thai food are incredibly high. I grew up with the vibrant, authentic flavors of LA's Thai Town, and I'm always looking for that genuine taste of home when I travel. On a recent visit to Houston, I can emphatically say: I've found it. This restaurant isn't just good; it's a revelation, and it immediately transported me back to my family's kitchen.

Our meal began with the Kao Nam Tod, and I knew from the first bite they were serious. It was a perfect symphony of textures and tastes – the crunch of the toasted rice, the complex, savory notes of the traditional Nam sausage (a cured pork sausage), and the bright, zesty counterpoint of fresh ginger, cilantro, and lime. It was perfectly balanced and exactly how it should be made.

Next, we warmed our souls with the Po Tak. This isn't your average hot and sour soup. The broth was a masterpiece of aromatics, bursting with the fragrance of lemongrass, galangal, and kaffir lime leaves. It was generously filled with plump shrimp, tender squid, and succulent mussels. The flavor was clean, fiery, and deeply comforting—a true taste of the Thai seaside.

For our main course, we opted for the Lad Na with tender beef. The smokiness of the pan-seared wide rice noodles combined with the rich, savory gravy was pure perfection. The beef was melt-in-your-mouth tender, and the Chinese broccoli provided that essential, crisp bitterness. This is the ultimate Thai comfort food, executed flawlessly.

Just when I thought I couldn't be more impressed, dessert arrived. The Mango Sticky Rice was a masterclass in simplicity. The sticky rice was warm, perfectly sweet, and saturated with creamy coconut milk, creating the ideal stage for the sweet, ripe mango.

Then came the Coconut Ice Cream. This wasn't a store-bought afterthought; it was intensely creamy with a profound, natural coconut flavor, studded with delightful bits of young coconut flesh.

The service was as warm and exceptional as the food. You can taste the love and dedication in every single dish. Believe me when I say this is hands down the best Thai food in Houston. Coming from a Thai person who was spoiled by the best in Los Angeles, that's the highest praise I can give. This restaurant is a gem, and I will make it a point to return every time I'm in town. A resounding and...

I can't get over the Kao Nam Tod. I ordered it by chance, and have had it twice. With every bite I find myself saying wow- it is SO good!! I like medium salsa when it comes to Mexican food, and with this dish I get no spice. The 1 is tolerable but I prefer to taste all the flavors because they are just incredible, it's unlike anything I've ever had. Since then I've ordered it at a few places around the area and this one is still the best. I could eat it every week. I also tried the beef salad, again a random choice. Another one that had me going back for more thinking how can this be so flavorful?? It was fabulous, the meat was so tender and all the flavors were well balanced. A must try. I also got the pad thai at spice 0, but I should have gotten a 1. I love that it's heavy on the sauce unlike most, so it's not dry at all. It's on the sweeter side so I use extra lime, I wouldn't mind a bit more tamarind or tang, but I do love the amount of sauce. This place is incredible, my top favorite Thai I've had in the heights and there are some very good...

Don’t let the exterior of this place fool you. Despite living just two blocks away, I never felt compelled to visit until recently—and I regret not coming sooner. This restaurant excels in every way, from its flavorful food and attentive service to its inviting interior. Parking is also a breeze, unlike many other places where you have to pay for it.

It wasn’t overly busy, aside from a steady stream of takeout orders, and now I completely understand why it’s so highly popular on UberEats. My personal favorite is their Nan Kang Woon Sen soup, a dish I could easily enjoy every day. Every meal I’ve tried here is packed with flavor, with each dish offering its own unique taste—a refreshing change from restaurants where everything tastes the same.

The service is equally impressive. Both the owner and staff checked on us multiple times to ensure we were satisfied, making us feel genuinely welcomed and valued. The warm hospitality and exceptional dining experience have truly won me over. Thank you for making us feel so comfortable—I can’t...

Here in Houston on a work trip and decided to stop here after seeing it as I took the Red Line and MY GOD, I’m so glad I did. This place felt like home even though I never been to Thailand in my life. The colors are vibrant and yet cozy. My server happened to be Emmy, who is such a sweet soul, patted my hand or something to that effect after I placed my order and from that I could tell what I was about to receive was the best Massamun Curry, I would ever experience. Can I just say, it was like love in a bowl. I told Emmy to kiss the chef for me!!! I savored the entire moment, from the flavor to the sweet mural on the wall. It was so good, I told her I would be back the next day. I returned the next day and it was still as delightful as the day before. Emmy was just as sweet and we even hugged before leaving. Bless all the hands who work there. May all your endeavors be prosperous. May you all live long, healthy and vibrant lives. Love from New Orleans!!! Whenever I’m in Houston again, I surely will be back!!!

Came here on a weekend afternoon for a late lunch. Food was great! Had the Kanom Jeep and Tod Maan Pla to start, Nam Tok Beef and Kuay Teaw Kua Kai Pork for mains, and the Gai Yang wings. Food was very good with great flavor and spice for the spice level requested. Flat noodles were fresh and had wonderful ā€œwokā€ stir fry taste! Nothing was too salty, sour, or spicy, for our taste. The grilled wings were the highlight - perfectly cooked/grill wings with a complementing savory and sour lime sauce. Service was wonderful, attentive and friendly. Will definitely be back to try other items on the menu.
