One experience I did not expect to have here at this establishment. I frequent the Laredo family restaurants all over Houston and decided to try this location. When we arrived it was not busy nor overwhelmed with clients. We were wanting to eat at the table and were prompted to order up at the steam table. There the women preparing one's meal were RUDE from the start insisting on us telling them how many total tacos we were ordering immediately. I was with my family a total of 3 adults and 2 children, and we were the only ones ordering. They were impatient and became visibly flustered with us as we didn't know what we were ordering. When they continued to hurry us my father asked could you please hold on a second they stopped but maintained an attitude moving forward. Soon after that ordeal we were sat in a table towards the back middle of the restaurant and there was a PROMINENT stench of sewage. We tried to disregard but It was so bad we had to move ourselves. When we sat to eat our food we were missing salsa and some drinks. We let our waiter know and she never did bring us back either items that we asked for. We each order 2 tacos and 5 tamales to share 3 lemonades and a water the meal was nearly 80$. Each item we ordered was not appetizing at all and lacked flavor, tamales were a BIG no. And the service was TERRIBLE which was the determining factor for the review, I can do with sometimes the Food isn't great,no big deal, but SERVICE... I had to share because we interacted with 4 employees and they...
Read moreLaredo Taqueria has been my go-to spot for a long time, especially after a long night when greasy tacos and a Mexican soda or aguas frescas hit the spot. The food is undeniably good, with favorites like the menudo, chicharrón verde, and carnitas on their handmade, buttery flour tortillas. However, the dining experience leaves a lot to be desired.
The place isn't very dine-in friendly. It could really use some renovations—there’s so much clutter, from old high heels from the 2000s to dusty piñatas and faded Vicente Fernández photos. The atmosphere feels chaotic, especially with the disorganized seating and the long, winding line of people waiting to order. It’s hard to imagine how much money they might be losing daily with people skipping the bill. The staff, especially the waitresses, deserve credit for navigating this confusing setup, but it's clearly a challenge.
Parking is a nightmare too no clear lines, and it’s next to a laundromat with a lot of homeless people asking for money. It all adds to the frustration, but if you’re willing to look past these issues and enjoy some seriously good Mexican tacos, this place is worth the trip. Just be prepared for some chaos and bring your patience or something to keep you occupied...
Read moreThe food lacks in flavor, the flour tortillas are horrible the coffee taste more like water than coffee. This is definitely not authentic Mexican food. Their flavor is more Tex/mex no Tex-mex has more flavor. We ordered 9 tacos we wanted to try a little bit of everything. We even payed 8 tacos to go. When we started eating we couldn’t eat the tacos that’s how nasty they were we left all the tacos there and left. We let the cashier know that we didn’t like the food we didn’t want our money back from the tacos that’s were on the table but we just asked for our money back from the tacos we hadn’t touched (8 tacos ) She said no I’m not giving you your money back Obviously I let her know I didn’t like their food it was tasteless and I wanted the money back because I was not about to take those disgusting tacos to my in laws. Instead of been professional about it she tried to argue about not trying to give me my money back which was pointless because she did give it back to me. ( for the 8 tacos that were to go) she really need a costumer service class. Besides having discussing tasteless food they have bad costumer service. Never stepping into...
