A good restaurant to have a meal at the Houston Hobby Airport. According to their website, “The James family has been serving Hobby’s travelers for more than three decades. LaTrelle’s Tex-Mex Kitchen serves freshly made Tex-Mex favortites such as Breakfast Tacos, grilled Fajitas, Burritos, Quesadillas, Chili Con Queso and Guacamole and don’t forget our housemade Margaritas.” I was traveling through the airport and decided to try the food at this location. It is one of the places on the airplane side of the security checkpoint. It is in a food court type of arrangement with several other restaurants sharing a common seating area. The food court area is located right in between the wings where all the airplane gates are located making it convenient regardless of where your flight leaves from in the terminal. Their menu includes burritos, bowls, quesadillas, tacos, fajitas and nachos. You order at the counter and wait for your food at the next counter. I tried the breakfast burrito. It was reasonably priced for airport food and was prepared right there. It was a large burrito and very good. The staff was nice and the seating area was clean. I would recommend this for visitors in the terminal waiting for a flight or hungry for a good meal that is ...

Flight landed around 9am Sunday September 14th. I walked up to this place and two others were standing there. It was hard to differentiate where the beginning on the the line was etc. as people were also standing around waiting on their food. I politely waited as the other two people that were there before me ordered. As more people lined up you could then tell where the line was forming. That being said, I waited and funneled into the line. Even the guy behind me had seen I had been standing there before him. I step up to the counter and the lady was EXTREMELY rude. Asked me loudly “if the guy behind was there before me?” I kindly responded and explained what had happened she rolls her eyes, sucks her teeth and goes “ok.” I told her I could go to the back of the line if she would like me to. She yells “NO ITS OK what do you want?” She makes this unnecessary scene. I kindly said “you know what that’s ok I will go somewhere else.” As a business owner myself, I would be appalled if my employees treated anyone this way but seeing as this young lady didn’t know who I was I hope she does better in the future and understand you never know who is on the other side of that counter. I wish this company the best but I won’t be...

Employees were great and helpful, the star of the show here. Unrelated but the lady cleaning the area was very efficient and good at her job.

I ordered the chicken quesadilla with chips and queso. This brought my total to $25. What I received is a tiny quesadilla on a regular tortilla, lettuce with brown spots, a tiny bit of pico de gallo and some pickled jalapenos. I also asked for some salsa to go with my chips and queso, note, the chips and queso are personal sized. NOTE: they refuse to do a la carte. Quesadilla was average, 3/5, nothing great but chicken was tasty and tortilla was crisped good, though small. Pico was also average, 2/5, mostly just tomato though. Salsa comes in tiny containers, didn't have very bold flavors, but was a salsa, 3/5 Chips were horrible. 1/5. Tasted burnt and kind of like a toasted nut, odd, obviously not made fresh, from some bag, much worse than even tostitos. Do not order. Queso was tasty, but only in the regards for very cheap queso. Obviously from a mix and just not authentic. 2/5. Tasted pretty good on the quesadilla.

Price did not meet expectations, $25 for basically a $10 meal without a drink, though it is in the airport. So I give it a 3/5. Quality of food...

What a complete downgrade from the previous restaurant that was at this location for a long, long time. I came to Hobby for an early morning flight. This and Starbucks were pretty much the only places open. Has a similar menu to the previous tenant, but that is where the similarities stop. The food here was bad. I ordered the sausage breakfast burrito. Has eggs, potatoes, beans, and sausage. The burrito was mostly watery beans and had no flavor whatsoever. Came with a small condiment cup only half full of salsa. Wouldn’t have mattered if it was full, it is was not good. Had a funky flavor. Had to resort to add Cholula. Find someplace else to eat if you can. Looking at the selection of new places, you most likely will run into the same problem.
