Why does Starbucks management/corporate not see reason to fix the ongoing problem with this location? I am at this airport weekly. I donāt usually go to this Starbucks because all Hobby frequent fliers know itās more than likely going to take forever. As someone who has patronized Starbucks in my hometown as well as all over the country for years, my experience is almost always good..sometimes great..certainly consistent. The hobby airport location near gate 45 is CONSISTENTLY HORRENDOUS. Itās almost laughable. As I said, I donāt stop in often, but I pass by it all the time. There always seems to be plenty of employees. I had a lot of time today and I was craving a holiday drink, so I went in. There are 8-9 visible employees including an on duty sup/ mgr, there is NO reason that there should be extra long pauses where no orders (food nor beverages) are being taken. The line just grows as 2 people slowly make drinks and 4-5 other people are talking, laughing, and doing something other than engaging with the customers whoāve joined the line and are just watching and waiting witnessing the same thing that Iāve described. No one said to them āsorry for the wait/weāll be with with you as soon possibleā SOMETHING. I was second in line. The one gentleman who actually was professional and doing something to move the line forward said heād be with me in a sec. He prepped food from the order in front of me but it took him a while. I started to watch the time. It was 6 minutes before he took my order. Thatās a long time when again, there are 8 or more visible employees (including a lead) who are chatting, laughing and appear to be doing a bunch of nothing (slowly at that). The way they operate is inefficient, too slow, careless, and the opposite of what is needed in a fast paced busy environment thatās run on a strict schedule like the airport. Why doesnāt upper management or corporate care? Thereās no way they are unaware....

I said my order and then waited while the cashier then went to grab the previous customers coffee gave it to him and THEN realized he didn't pay. He said he scanned it but she said it didn't do anything. He then rescanned/paid and 1 of the 3 ladies said "no blended drinks" I couldnt tell if she was talking to me or not so I asked and she repeated the same. The cashier said there blender is down for cleaning. I asked if it would be done soon or how long they were thinking and the lady who previously spoke to me said " I've already taken it apart for cleaning" the cashier then said " yeah cause we're closing soon" I go " what time do you close" they answered 10 then I asked what time it was and they said "9:30" im really dissapdisapp in there lack of customer service and willingness to take my money..? Ā Ā Ā Read moreI have very bad experiences with at the Starbucks coffee. On 7/6/2024 around 5:20 PM I went to buy a coffee at Hobby airport near gate 45. Ref. CHK 42025 7/6/2023 5:27 PM. Even though only 3 customers were ahead of me, it take almost 10 minutes to reach the counter. That much slow was the associate. (This is not new, every time, new associate not fully trained assigned at the counter) Then the associate took my order for a small coffee. I paid by credit card. Then he told me, āsorry Sir, you have to wait for few more minutes, we need to brew the coffee.ā My meal break ends at 5:30 (Iām an airport employee) I told him, I have no time to wait, you, please refund my money, I donāt need your coffee. He went to see his Supervisor. She came and told me, she need to call the Manager. I have no patience. I walked out without coffee and my money back.
Passengers airport employees have similar complaints about āAreasā, who operates the Starbucks in the airport. Very poor customer services.
