This location is slacking and NOT giving what other locations are giving. Drove from Katy to the Kirkwood location and initially got 2 orders of catfish but considering I drove a little ways I decided to go ahead and get my fix and satisfy my cravings. I then ordered the Louisiana fried rice with the must have crack sauce. Sped home only to not have my crack sauce!! I don't know about anyone else but for me the rice needs the crack sauce to be complete otherwise I'm eating some regular shmegular rice that I honestly could have gotten anywhere in Katy. The catfish was okay could've been fried a little longer to be crisper and the fries where horribly undercooked. My eleven year old kept pulling all the undercooked fries out her mouth leaving a napkin full of discarded fries. Not having the sauce really ticked me off considering I made that drive during 5 o'clock traffic and actually made a second order just to have it. So I called the location to express my disdain. I was first told they didn't have an order number 294. I explained, that I literally just left and was looking at the receipt that said 294. The "manager" who I really believe was just another employee because while there, another customer had an issue with her order and the manager was not black but I was speaking to a black man on the phone. I didn't question whether he was the actual manager just attempted to express my frustration with the experience. Instead of owning their error, he proceeds to tell me I should've checked the order before leaving and was told to either come get the sauce, bring the receipt so they could sign it for a refund or he'd write down my name for an extra sauce on my next visit. None of which were satisfactory resolves. I had already driven an hour to and from the location, why would I inconvenience myself driving back to correct their mistake. And if the staff is checking the receipts before handing over orders why doesn't your staff check each order to ensure accuracy. (It was not busy during my visit, so that can't be an excuse) Now, we had the Broadway location a few weeks prior and it gave what it needed to with crispy well-seasoned fish and fries, accuracy on my orders, and the hot box was on point! When I visited the Kirkwood location last night, I was hoping to satisfy my taste buds like the Broadway location had. Suffice it to say, Kirkwood failed miserably especially on the customer service aspect. That will be my last visit to their location, trust. Guess, I'll have to wait until I'm in the south for good food and service from the Lotus brand. Sadly, when I lived near Kirkwood my kids and I frequented the Kirkwood location all the time so it was majorly...

Terrible. The only good thing about this place is the lemonade.

We (party of two) dined in for the first time today at 7:50 pm. There was a line of customers. There were lots of employees standing around behind the counter but only one register open initially. I ordered the “platter” that had one catfish filet, 3 shrimp, and fries. I ordered seasoned fries instead of regular fries and they charged me $2 additional dollars as if they were making them fresh in-house instead of pouring them out of a frozen bulk size bag. I also ordered hush puppies and $5 lemonade.

They called my order number for me to pick up my food from the counter in less than 5 minutes after placing it. Upon receipt all my food was cold. Not even room temperature. It’s clear they cook their food in bulk and have it just sitting in the kitchen area … probably not even under warmer lights. I complained. 10 minutes later they gave me different food.

The fish was hot and I appreciated that it was crispy and they used a decent corn mill batter. It lacked flavor. The seasoned fries were nasty… dry, overcooked, and covered in corn mill.

The hush puppies may have been the worst I’ve ever had in life. They were overcooked and hard. It taste like they re-fried the cold ones I sent back. The texture was terrible.

My cousin requested Cajun fries but they gave him regular fries..

The crack sauce made the food edible. I only ate here out of convenience because I was in the area. I don’t plan to return or recommend. Swamp City is better.

The place is busy with people dining in and picking up to go orders.

The employees look like they don’t want to be there. They don’t care about making the customers happy. When I complained they didn’t even ask how they could resolve the Issue so I just accepted the remake of the food when I would have rather ordered something different or got a refund to eat somewhere else. They all mumble instead of speaking up and clearly. One employee was wearing a mask. People were handling food...

We tried Lotus for the first time last week because of all the Instagram photos and videos. We did not have a good experience unfortunately.

When we walked in, it was super crowded. We reached there at 9 PM. Took 10-15 mins to get to the counter to order. The staff gave a very unwelcoming vibe. Like why am I here and not at home? She told us we can’t dine in because they close at 10 PM. Then a guy from her back said we could sit and eat since it was 9:15 PM and they close dine in at 9:30 PM. We ordered 5 lbs of crawfish, corns, potatoes and hush puppies. Then waited for the food to come. The seasonings were very bland. It wasn’t spicy enough and definitely didn’t look like the videos they posted on Instagram. The size of the crawfish were really small. Like baby size literally. I only got 3-4 crawfishes that were mid size. If we ordered 1 or 2 lbs then if we got 3-4 mid sized crawfishes, then I won’t have complained. But we ordered 5 lbs. The taste was subpar. If you like Tex Orleans style crawfish boil, then this is definitely not the place.

We hurried up and ate because we didn’t want to get called out that we are staying past 10 PM there. When I went to wash my hands, there were no hand soap in the restroom. So I asked a staff to refill the hand soap. She responded that she can’t refill the hand soap because it’s not her job and the person that can refill it is not available at the moment. He will refill after the store closes. I asked her if she could at least give me some soap on my hands from the back but she denied. So I had to end up washing my hand without a soap after eating crawfish.

Overall food and service was awful and for those reasons I can’t recommend this place. We ended up going to BB’s Cafe and had 2 lbs of crawfish to get the Lotus’ flavor out of our mouth. Lotus was a complete waste...
