I went thru the drive through when sick and ordered two cheese steak combos and one quart sized soup. The soup was 12.49. The combos all came with cornbread My grandma was sick with covid but she’s 99 and really wanted the soup. I had to wait twenty minutes as they had to cook the cheese steak.
When we get home there is no soup. There is also no bread and missing a gravy so I call in. I get the manager SHERONA. I ask her to please just credit back my card for the missing items and she says she cant id have to come back. I tell her I can’t come back and my grandmother and child were starving so I had given her my steak anyways. She says no problen I cant beleive the left this off ( then you hear her yelling y’all left off that big soup to the employees ) I’m going to give you two free meals. Just come back and I’m going to put it on my book and you will get two free meals. I’m thinking great that’s perfect. I’m out the 12.50 for soup and the 2$ for bread and gravy so that will make up for it.
Well a week later I go back to get my two free meals. At the drive through I tell them my name and I have two free meals and she says ok what is your order. So I order wait in the long line and then when I go to lay she says oh my manger says we are only comping one. We argue I’m like not that doesn’t cover the soup or the bread. You owe me more money. Now in this order I have a 4.99 soup and i have my receipt for the last order. I say well you can credit this order and she says no. I say fine then ring this one up right and I’ll give you my other receipt and you credit that one and SHERONA tells ruby no it’s too late.
The lady in the window is RUBY but she is talking to the manager SHERONA. THIS MANAGER REFUSES TO COME TO THE WINDOW AND REFUSES TO GIVE ME THE MONEY I HAVE NEEN Over CHARGED for
SHERONA just refused to do her job. She lied about me getting two meals for the ones left off and messed up . Then she won’t manage and come to the window, she just hides behind this young girl telling her what to say. Why would SHERONA be so dead set against doing what she said she would do. Why wouldn’t she credit my 3$ to either receipt. Someone needs to look at the books over there. I suspect she is taking those free credited meals in the book for herself, or friends and family. Why go so hard to NOT give me my 3$. I’m a frequent customer once a week for ever.
No one has ever refused to refund what you have been over charged for. I was charged for soups and breads and a gravy that was 14.50 and I got a 10.99 credit. SHERONA JUST REFUSED TO MANAGe or give me a proper refund or credit. Spent ten minutes tying up the drive though arguing with the poor girl because SHERONA REFUSED TO COME TO THE WINDOW.
THEN I WROTE LUBYS ONLINE THROUGH THE Website AND GOT NO RESPONSE AT ALL SO HERE I AM TO...
Read moreNormally, I don't order food from this location! I am a diabetic and couldn't wait until I got home to eat, nor go to any other location that are my favorite because of the distance, so I stopped to dine in at this location on my way home. First off, there was a rude young Caucasian guy arguing with me when I asked for a liver and onions " Child's plate. He said," Luby"s don't sell child's plate! I answered, "Yes, they do! He responded,"No, they don't "! We went back and forth about 4 times with this! So, I said, young man, 2 days ago I ordered A Child's liver and onions, so don't tell me Luby's doesn't sell Child's Plates. Then, he finally said, " Well, they don't here! I told him, "That's all you had to say in the first place. You going back and forth with me like you want to make me an example is very rude! This is why I was asking for it, because I just recently had it. At 75 years old, my appetite aren't much anymore, which is why a Child's plate is perfect for me! I get them at other locations "ALL" the time.
For this location to have all these inconvenient "Rules", they could have some decent tasting food! The liver and onions were tough, not that tasty, and the Navy Beans were not fully cooked. The green beans were bland, the dressing had too much sage in it! After I sat at my table ( hungry as I were), I opened my napkin only to find that there wasn't a knife! I held my hand for the waiter to acknowledge me. She looked at me and chose to walk away. So,I went to the cashier, she was clueless, I proceeded to the food area and the lady I spoke with apologized, but I still couldn't get anyone to give me a knife to cut that tuff liver! At that point, 2 other people came up for the same thing. Someone shouted out, "We will bring you a knife!" On my way to my table, there was a knife sitting at the place setting, I grabbed it! By this time, My diabetes was kicking in, I needed food in my stomach! A young black guy rushed up to me and demanded that I give him that knife. He rushed up to me like he was gonna harm me if hadn't I not given him that knife! I am glad my two sons were with me,otherwise, there might have been a big issue! I guess someone ordered him to address me, as if I were supposed to get scared of him! All this time, no Manager ever showed his or her face to address the issue! What a horrible way to run an Establishment! No concerns for your elderly customers!
I will never, ever, go back to this location. I thought I could get me a decent and healthy meal. If I am caught in another diabetic situation again, I will have to forget "healthy" and just stop at any...
Read moreThis Luby's location has restored my faith in the company that it can still have a future. I just went another Luby's in SW Houston which had probably the worst food I have ever experienced. Like I said in my review for the other location on S Post Oak, I grew up on Luby's so I have a good idea how things should look and taste. I decided to give this location a try because it is so close to my office. I was blown away how much better the experience was between this location and the other one. The staff literally went above and beyond in many ways, even carrying my tray to a table while I paid.
The salad area was wonderfully stocked with the usual salads in their rightful display, not prepackage unappealing to-go boxes like S Post Oak. When I was seated you could see more than half of the tables had salads of some sort. If you show a product properly, people will buy it! I ordered a fruit salad and the server walked to the fridge while I groaned because I thought she was getting a prepackaged one from the fridge. Instead she returned with a chilled bowl like Luby's used when I grew up. The hot section of food was clearly stocked with actually hot and fresh food. I order my normal liver and onions but everything looked so good (including the special of the day brisket) I message my spouse if they wanted anything brought home. The sides were fully stocked. The mac & cheese was cheesy and even had a bowl of extra cheese sauce to add if you asked for more. The bread had the normal breads but also had a toast I hadn't tried before which was wonderful.
After I sat at my table you could hear the all the servers checking in on everyone constantly and having small talk with customers....
