Macu Tea is a premium fresh fruit tea shop originating from Taiwan and is inside the Bellaire Food Street plaza.

I have tried a few of their drinks, including the avocado with strawberry smoothie, King of Mango smoothie, Boba Tieguanyin Oolong Milk Tea.

The avocado one is my favorite and has three layers: one layer of avocado smoothie, one layer of freshly cut strawberries, and crystal boba at the bottom. The drink is very creamy, not icy, and fresh, especially with the strawberries. The crystal boba pairs well with the creamy avocado.

The King of Mango smoothie contains mango smoothies, fresh mangò chunks, grapefruit pieces, coconut milk, and green tea jelly. It is not as sweet and a bit on the more blander side compared to the avocado drink when I had it. Still refreshing but personally, I prefer the avocado drink more.

The oolong milk tea is perfect--not too sweet but milky with a strong tea flavor, and the boba were bouncy.

The interior is very minimal and bright. There is some seating and tables inside, but it can be a bit small if you have a large party. Staff is always super nice and ready to answer any questions we have.

The highlight of their drinks are the fresh fruits and organic ingredients, making it on the higher-end, and therefore, it makes it more of a once-in-a-while treat, personally, especially with the parking, which is always a struggle in this plaza for any of the restaurants or spots. I do really enjoy both of their fruit and tea drinks and would come back after eating dinner within...

So excited that Macu has finally landed in Bellaire! I have been looking for something fresh and different in the Houston tea scene and they absolutely delivered. Their Mango smoothie is pure sunshine in a cup and the Avocado smoothie is creamy, rich, and refreshing all at once. Both are made with real fruit and you can taste the layers of flavor that are sweet, smooth, and completely natural.

Nothing else in Houston compares right now. Macu feels like a total game changer with drinks that are fun and unique. If you are into fruit forward teas and smoothies this is the spot you will want to keep...

The fresh avocado smoothie is creamy, rich, and satisfying, offering a naturally smooth texture that feels indulgent yet healthy. The avocado provides a mild, buttery flavor that pairs well with sweeteners like honey or fruits such as banana and mango, creating a balanced taste. Its high content of healthy fats and fiber makes it filling and nourishing, perfect for breakfast or a mid-day boost. While some may find it bland on its own, adding a splash of lime or pineapple brightens the flavor. Overall, it is a refreshing, nutrient-dense drink that blends health benefits with a deliciously...

Tried this new tea place on Friday afternoon. Not as many customers, but it was steady. The line felt extra long though even though there were only 2 people in front of us. The cashier person had to take so much time explaining the menu to each customer since the description of the items is not listed. I really wanted to like this place since they have smoothie options. BUT!!! The King Of Mango Smoothie was absolutely BITTER!! There was no sense of balance and the lack of sweetness from the mango made the drink underwhelming. Don’t waste your money. Lots of other options in the area. Buyer be ware!
