Manna Noodle House offers a variety of Korean noodle dishes in the Koreatown of Houston. It is a small business ran by a really sweet couple, and they’re always there when I visit. I have been there a few times and I love the food!
I have gotten the spicy cold chewy noodles, the kalguksu, the dumplings, and the split of the jjampong and black bean noodles.
My favorite dish from them is the spicy cold chewy noodles. It is super refreshing and very chewy. It comes with a bowl of soup, as well. I love it! The spicy noodles pair really well with their fried dumplings and kimchi. Their kimchi is one of the best I ever had! I absolutely love their kimchi and always ask for extra.
I also like their jjampong; it is seasoned well. Their kalguksu and black bean noodles are okay and a bit on the blander side.
All their portions are huge, and the prices are very reasonable. They are super nice and check up on you often.
Overall, if you want a delicious Korean meal, this place is definitely a great place to stop by, especially for the spicy...
Read moreI work in the neighborhood and this is my frequent go-to for comfort Korean food. It's a comfortable homey diner with solid homey food. I've tried several of their dishes from the spicy squid and rice, the mixed veggie noodles, and the jjajangmyeon black bean noodles. Each dish is enjoyable. The noodles are chewy with an extra bite. The sauces are well made. There's just love and pride cooked into these traditional dishes and feels homemade.
The owner is a boss lady and is very friendly and welcoming. I always enjoy my visits here. Dishes are made to order so you may want to call in ahead of time for pickups.
This is comfort food for me, perks me up on a workday or anytime, and a...
Read moreI'm so glad I finally {Manna}ged to make it out to this restaurant! I tried the spicy chewy noodle with vegetable (jjolmyeon) and clam knife-cut noodle (kalguksu) and enjoyed the kalguksu! The broth was so rich and hearty and the noodles had a really nice texture. The clams unfortunately didn't taste fresh but I liked the rest of the soup enough to compensate for that. The spicy chewy noodles live up to their name - they taste great but become tiring to eat. But if you know you like chewy noodles, go for it!
If I came back here, it would be for the owner - she's such a gem. If you're lucky enough to go when it's not that busy, she'll certainly try to get...
