This USED to be my go to place for lunch until last week. When I arrived I ordered my food and had a seat. The restaurant wasn’t packed and there wasn’t any customers waiting to be seated so I sat at a table close to the to go register like I always do! Well not only was I asked once but I was asked twice to get up and was told to sit by the entrance door. I told the waitresses I was waiting for my food. I will attach a picture for you to see that there was no one waiting to be seated. After the second time I was asked to get up I asked for a manager. Did I ever speak to a manager? Nope… they all walked around me talked about me in Spanish… (I speak Spanish FYI) and ignored me. It wasn’t until I loudly asked for my money back that someone talked to me, but she only said “here’s your food and your money will go back to your card.” Did my money go back to the card? Nope! Did I want the food? Nope! They ended up giving me cash back, because I was I told they couldn’t put it back on my card. Mambo’s do better! I’ve was a customer to that location...
Read moreI decided to give this restaurant another chance. I visited on a Monday recently. Though the waitress was clueless as to the restaurant having sangria, she was attentive and the food was really good. While we had visited the restaurant in June for Father's Day and the fried rice was skimpy on shrimp, this time, the shrimp was abundant. Though I don't really order fried rice at other places to compare, it was delicious. The octopus we had as appetizer was super tasty with a chipotle sauce. It wasn't chewy at all. Then I had the grilled salmon. The outside was crispy and the inside buttery. Superb. The corn on the cob was accompanied by fresh cream or similar and it was al dente. My boyfriend had a whole fried tilapia and liked it. They have a new non-alcoholic drink called pepinada. The cucumber beverage is refreshing and not too sweet. I am eager to return to Mambo this time. By the way, they do have sangria. I saw another customer drinking one. And they had a flyer on the bulletin board with a photo of the...
Read moreMambos made sure my experience was nothing short than Mambonifico! They reached out and wanted to make sure my experience was superb ,and it was! Maria was my waitress and Ana was the shift manager. I ordered the SAME EXACT items from the menu and they were delicious cooked to perfection. I’m so glad I gave Mambos a second chance to redeem themselves. Thank you Mambos! I will definitely be back again ❤️
I go to Mambos all the time. I order the Mambo shrimp and the shrimp was UNDERCOOKED! When I brought it up to the waitress she got the manager. She thought I wanted a free meal, the reason why I brought it up to her attention was so they can be more careful next time. Please MANAGERS, make sure your cooks are following proper care with their food temperature as this is very important to avoid food poisoning. Manager Jen needs to be more aware and concerned, she honestly looked annoyed. Go to the one on 290...
