Highly recommended. You will not find tastier food to take home and prepare - in town. This is almost homemade. Actually - the quality is homemade. The chicken salad - all white meat - very fresh and just like mom's - actually - better! The lasagna - you will be hard pressed to find better in any restaurant in Houston. They use their own house sausage - which you can buy - and sirloin beef. I also brought a pizza home and cooked it - yum - outstanding! The last reviewer gave 4 stars for them not having everything on the menu - this - is normal for them. Service - friendly and knowledgeable. When I walked in - the dude behind the counter could sense I'd not been there before and helped me thru the setup. A lady that cooks was also there - maybe one of owners? - no clue - but she knew everything about the ingredients - and prep. Old school. There are no tables - it's all to go - either fridge - ready to heat/cook - or frozen. They have sandwiches also - have not tried - yet. We will now...
Read moreThe wife and I just tried em the last couple days......have to say, pleasantly surprised. We were getting sick of take out and having to tip everywhere and all that nonsense going on. So we had been cooking a lot at home but gets tiresome coming up with dinner ideas. This place is awesome! So far we have tried the meat loaf, beef stroganoff, potato casserole and all of them have been fiiiiiiiiiiire. Like moment of silence and enjoy each bite type ish. We also got some desserts today; banana pudding and a lil chocolate pie. Wife said the pudding was ok, it was vanilla with bananas in it, the little chocolate pie was old and freezer burned tasting...was kind of gross. Probably will just stick to their meals. (we are bakers for a small bistro so a bit picky about desserts) Next up we want to try their.....well, everything! Lol haha the few employees we have met were all very polite and helpful as well. So that's 4 out...
Read moreSaw a mention of Marchese’s Kitchen today and found myself nearby so stopped. I got a small pan of meat lasagna ($16).
It was very good and a good value. For me it works for 3 servings if served along with a veggie. It is made with sausage and ground beef and multiple cheeses. The tomato sauce was sweet and delicious. I added some grated Parmesan.
My only disappointment was that they didn’t have several things I wanted to try. The owner who was very cordial mentioned that they don’t make everything on the menu all the time. I guess you could call and ask what they have. They had about half the menu items today. They have a mix of fresh and frozen items.
Recommend the lasagna as a great option when you don’t feel like cooking and...
