McDonald's — Restaurant in Houston

I had the worst experience there through their drive through today. I usually go to this McDonalds and this is the first time I have had a bad experience like this. There was a miscommunication on both end because I ordered a Spicy MC…chicken, however she asked me do I want the Spicy Chicken or the hot and spicy. Which I was confused on because on the menu I only see the McChicken, but I know that they have a spicy version. Additionally, I know that they have added the Chicken Sandwich and the different options but I had made sure to say McChicken multiple times and I just repeated the Spicy McChicken. But instead she charged me for the Spicy Chicken Sandwich, which I thankfully caught while I was still at the order screen. And I told her “ma’am I ordered a MCchicken” and she proceeded to say with a very nasty attitude “That’s why I asked if you wanted Spicy or Hot n Spicy they are obviously two different things. ” By this point I was shocked because it’s not a difficult issue to resolve and I got irritated which I’m not proud that I did and so I ended up answering her with an attitude as well saying “Well ma’am that’s why I said MCchicken, the one in the dollar menu, there’s only one McChicken.” And she proceeded to argue with me, I did sit in line for a bit but decided to eat else where because that was just very unprofessional. I understand fast food workers are people too but so are your customers that are trying to eat. Hopefully, you don’t come across that worker and have a good experience.

While at McDonald's one of the customers through the drive through lane took over 20 minutes to place an order. I was unable to reverse the vehicle, because other customers were behind us blocking the parking lot. Then we finally were able to order our order only consisting of 2 drinks. When we approached the first window we had asked if it was possible to have our drinks right away without waiting to get them at the pickup window. The employee at first was happy to do that, but eventually came back with empty hands. He explained to us that he is unable to bring drinks back, because the manager had said no. That it was against the rules of the store. Frustrated already that we could of just got our drinks at the window we only had one choice. We had to wait for the pickup window. While than waiting the same lady than started arguing about her order in front of us. Over hearing her some you could her that she was complaining her order was incorrect. She than proceeded taking more time than we could tolerate. I ended up pulling to there front and than walking in to get the two drinks. Honestly the next time an employee is having trouble can you not have them drive to the window and than take their order? This could of prevented not one happy customer but a whole line of customers waiting. I do hope something can happen so that this doesn't happen to anyone else. I will not be visiting this...

The Double Homestyle Burger was absolutely delicious. The beef patties were thick. Four stars because the Extra Homestyle Mustard was not only on the inside of the burger but on the outside of the paper wrapping as well. I'll take it as it comes in future. I couldn't help but get mustard on the front of my shirt. The Fries are rightly World Famous but eat them first while they are hot.

The kiosk to order was confusing and required me to ask for help. Some of the younger staff were too busy talking on their cell phone to help but older staff members were very helpful, supplying table numbers to the kiosk and answering questions.

It's odd that Sweet Tea is on the menu but not actually available. Unless you want to add your own sugar. But then, why have it on the menu? The napkins were difficult to get out of the dispenser and, with mustard everywhere, very necessary.

The atmosphere was difficult as an older mother was screaming at her two young daughters for most of our meal. Disquieting. Thus two stars.

The Unsweet Tea was very good. No bitterness at all. I finished off the Chicken McNuggets that my grandson couldn't eat. They were very tasty, even...
