Tried out this new hotpot place in Chinatown with one of my friends over July 4th weekend. The name of this place is a play on words, it's simultaneously referring to fish collagen and a 'pretty woman'. This place is famous for their chicken broth mixed with various other soup bases. We chose the Fish Maw Chicken Soup. The color is such a bright yellow it really makes me wonder what exactly they're adding. The broth is very creamy and nourishing. For the add-ons we ordered the tiger prawns, snakehead fish filets, fresh tofu, napa cabbage oyster mushrooms and hand-made noodles. For apps we tried the lemon pickled chicken feet (highly recommend) and wolverine potatoes (too greasy). Not sure why their induction stovetop auto shuts off every hour or so. I had to ask our server to personally turn it on each time. Decent service overall but you need to ask to get your water refilled. The prawns and fish were very fresh. I highly enjoyed the cold chicken feet. I didn't care for the rest of the food. Our bill came out to be $98 for two people but our server gave us 25% off promotional discount for the July 4th weekend ~very pleasant. I honestly would return to try the sauerkraut fish.

Miss Flower Hotpot and Liuyishou hotpot are two brands under the same company. Miss Flower's topic is herbal tonic. Their iconic broth is the golden chicken soup with fish maw. Fish maw is good for tonify collagen. That's why their logo is a Chinese beauty, and their slogan is "a bowl of soup equal to 10 face masks." They started offer AYCE 2 months ago. They simmer their broth with true ingredients for 10+ hours. They also provide high class hotpot ingredients. Besides seafood, meat, and vegetables, they also provide classic appetizers, such as popcorn chicken, fried pork, and spicy chicken. Each of these appetizers would be charged around $8-$10 in other restaurants. You can add $3.99 per person for all you can drink(which includes desserts). All you can eat price is $27.99 + All you can drink $3.99 + Broth (not included in all you can eat price) $6.99. The average price is around $45 per person after tax and tips. Overall, it's a really high-quality hotpot. Of course, there are many $25 AYCE hotpot in Houston. However, if you seek quality over price, this is the place for you.

Update: they have all you can eat now and it's glorious!! By the looks on the menu it's daily but a little more pricey on the weekends, ~32 bucks a person. All you can drink (plum juice, fruit tea, watermelon juice, etc.) for about 4 bucks a person.

Had to stop by to try this beauty soup, left completely full but still wanting more!

We knew we had to eat here when we saw this new hot pot joint and the unique soups it offers. The location is slightly inwards, but you can't miss the sign if you're on Bellaire heading east away from Beltway 8.

The first thing we noticed when we stepped in was how spacious the tables were, which is great for putting your 'bows on top while slurping hotpot.

Our waitress was super helpful and kind in helping us pick out their signature chicken fish maw soup, which cooks for over 10hrs in the kitchen before being poured over juicy organic chicken right in front of you in the pot.

The a la carte style let's you choose what you want to drop in your hotpot, and the prices were extremely reasonable (ex: $9.99 for a large platter of premium marbled beef that fed 2 adults). The soup package we ordered started in the mid-30s for 2 people and came with veggies, noodles, and dried cordyceps along with their delicious broth w/ chicken.

Besides helping us choose our tasty food, she went above and beyond in helping us prepare the broth and even made us a delicious dipping sauce that complimented our meal.

Everything tasted super fresh and delightful, especially the amazing broth. It was creamy yet light, and had a very strong šŸ” flavor that is sure to amaze almost everyone.

All in all we will definitely be back for another delicious meal in the future. Our awesome waitress definitely added to our experience!

P.S. give the osmantus sour plum juice a try if you're in the mood for a refreshing summer drink that will kick your hotpot...

New and Edited Review : came again and had a really great experience! Food is delicious as always and it seems they’ve fixed their service! Food came out very quickly, even on Lunar New Year weekend. The manager and the wait staff here were very kind and understanding. I would definitely keep coming back! I’m glad I came here again. Their sauce bar is cleaner now too and they have more variety in snacks.

Old Review: Been here 3 times this past month. First time was a great experience. 2nd and 3rd - not so much. Second time: We waited over 40+ minutes to get any of our orders, whereas the table next to us (who came later) kept getting orders while we were left with nothing - we went up to the staff several times to express our concern and still nothing. At that point, we waited nearly an hour at our table before we got any meats or side dishes.

Expect to not get half the things you order through the tablet. We kept trying to order stuff and nothing came (we had to keep speaking to the waiters to get things out - at that point, what’s the point of having tablets to order with?) and we kept getting wrong orders on our 2nd and 3rd visit here. It was very frustrating to say the least. We also called in advance, asking if there were certain items available before coming and they said they were available. We got there and they said it was all out. There’s a hostess or waitress who we kept asking for help with our orders and she kept lying and saying everything was sold out. Then we would talk to another waiter (we believe his name is Ryan) and then he would get it out to us (this was during our 3rd visit and Ryan was extremely courteous and attentive). The system they use here is extremely disorganized.

The food here is good quality and delicious but the service is...

Visited the second time and was super disappointed. It was a busy Saturday night so we understood the potential of longer wait times. After we were seated and ordered, 10 minutes later a guy came to us and informed us that they are out of the double pot and that we can only choose 1 broth. I wanted the spicy one and my friend wanted the chicken maw. It was hard for us to choose since we both have very different preferences. We both ended given up our choices to choose something else and went with the mushroom soup.

Within less than a minute, we changed our mind and wanted to do the spicy one instead and asked the same employee if we could change it. Instead of telling us we couldn't, which we would totally understand, the guy let us change our broth and displayed a noticeable attitude. He sighed loudly and said something in Chinese right in front of us, and he knew we don't understand Chinese.

We also get the all you can drink and ordered a fruit tea. 30 mins later and it still hasn't come out so we asked a waitress. She told us that they didn't have enough pitcher for the fruit tea and it would be at least another 20 mins until we can get our drink. She asked if we wanted something else instead and her attitude was much better than the guy before.

While some staff members were attentive and pleasant, the overall inconsistency left us disappointed during what should have been an enjoyable evening. Overall the food was great and highly recommend the all you can drinks, it totally worth it. We just can't understand how a hot pot restaurant doesn't have enough double pots for all their tables and enough pitcher for...
