Have not been back since last time, but we came back recently during night at about 10pm when Tan Tan closed early for maintenance. Hardly anyone there and we waited at the front to be seated longer than needed to. Also had to wait 15 minutes before waiter stops by to take order. Waited like 30 or more minutes before food came up. We ordered 2 coconut jelly, both turned brown indicating they have been sitting in the fridge for quite sometimes. Then salted baby pork rib wasn't even any but rather small they are big regular ribs and looked like reheat up all burnt on the outside. Seafood fried rice was not hot, hard, and hardly any shrimp, and they are small farmed ones. The imitation crabs looked uncooked. This is the worst dish and by far definitelynot wrth even half the price charged. Seafood egg noodle was ok but for a large, its not much. Other seafood fried egg noodle was hardly any seafood. Food price were all pretty much 20 or more per dish. This is way over priced. The update price a year or 2 ago were already high. The worst part was they automatically added and charged us 20% tip for 5 people- 2 adult with 3 kids.. before years back they only charge for 6 people or more which is already outrageous bc tips became a mandatory charge fee. This will be our last visit to Xinh Xinh. Go else where like Crown seafood! Better food, bigger portion, priced more reasonable, cleaner, bigger place, and much better service! Service always was subpar at Xinh Xinh. just notice the glass, dishes, and untenils when you dine there. Cleanliness is poor, and charging price is robbery. Tips is the amount we give extra if given good service not demanded. We are not liable to pay servers undeserving wages esp. for poor service. This tipping scam needs to go away. I will not support business that charge tips as a fee based on the amount food ordered. I will do business elsewhere that provides good food...

Sinh Sinh is a delightful restaurant that captures the essence of both Chinese and Vietnamese cuisine. As a foodie, I had the pleasure of exploring their menu, and I must say, the flavors were truly remarkable.

The restaurant’s culinary offerings showcased a fantastic blend of traditional Chinese and Vietnamese dishes, each boasting a distinct and authentic taste. From the delicate flavors of their Vietnamese spring rolls to the bold and aromatic Chinese roast meats: duck, pork, and char-siu, Sinh Sinh truly impressed my taste buds.

The menu presented an array of appetizing options, providing something for every palate. The freshness of the ingredients was evident, and the presentation of each dish was visually appealing. The flavors were well-balanced, allowing each component to shine without overpowering the others.

However, it’s important to note that the waiting time for the food was disappointingly long. Despite the exceptional taste and quality of the dishes, the extended waiting period detracted from the overall dining experience. It’s advisable for the management to address this issue promptly to ensure a smoother and more enjoyable visit for their patrons.

In conclusion, Sinh Sinh is a restaurant that excels in delivering delicious Chinese and Vietnamese cuisine. The flavors and authenticity of the dishes are commendable, leaving a lasting impression. Although the waiting time for the food was a letdown, the exceptional taste makes Sinh Sinh a worthy dining destination for those seeking an exquisite blend of Chinese and...

I went for dinner last night Wednesday June 30th and ordered the roasted duck after I asked the waiter what the difference was between the roasted duck and the Pekín duck and he said it’s just the buns so we ordered that and said ok no buns just white rice. He came back 5 minutes later and said there’s no more duck any kind of duck but guess what the table next to us witch was 5 Asian guys to who our waiter catered super attentive on their language and everything… got a duck I mean come on… we ordered way before them because when we got there they weren’t even there. We thought maybe it was a miscommunication with the server but when I ordered a bottle of water and I get a cup of tap water which by the way never was refill until after I ordered something else ate it and asked for the check I started to doubt it was a miscommunication because we were literally ignored for most of the night . Don’t believe me? Check the cameras it was the waiter on the yellow shirt and see how attentive and out of his way he went for them and how he never come to check on us so after paying and tipping way after the party of 5 was done even before us because even to get the check took forever I came to this conclusion… if you’re Asian this is your place to go but if you’re not… go somewhere else cuz you’ll be ignored. So here is my one star review because I got very weird / bad service. Thanks for a bad first time… definitely...

First time dining here. 01/27/22. Lunch portions are very large and very good tasting . The issue I had was at the end of the meal when my check arrived and the prices were not what was on the menu . My items should have been $7.95, $9.45 and $9.95 based on what was on the menu. The waitress went to get a menu and showed me the front of it, where it says “ prices on menu are subject to change at any time “. I am attaching pictures of this , my check and the food . I then , have no idea what the prices of any of the other dishes are on the menu because in this restaurant they will charge you whatever they see fit . Oh well. I guess you could ask for the price of every single item prior to ordering if you want , or just do like I had to do and just pay whatever they ring up at the end :( some dishes were just a few cents difference , some $2 more . Again, my issue is not with the food or the waitress, she was very attentive . It’s with this awful menu /charging practice they have currently . Very deceptive . It doesn’t matter if the difference in price is just a few cents or a few dollars or more . Update the menu to reflect what is correct and true !

It’s not often that you get good service in Chinatown, but I sure did this evening! After a long day of working a double, I just wanted to eat myself into a food coma. I sure did that! Decided to stop by for a late night bite and ended up ordering half the menu! haha I was hangry and wanted a bit of everything! Food came out relatively fast so that’s a plus. I was hungry and ready to dig in. So we ordered: Sweet n sour pork Cantonese style, salt toasted shrimp, banh bot chien, roasted duck, grilled chicken with macaroni, stir fried noodles, and stuffed tofu. I think? I love the grilled chicken and macaroni! It’s my fav dish here. Always ask for Chinese sausage in the macaroni! So yum and yes oh so fattening! Worth it. The roasted duck was very crispy and juicy as well! Stuffed tofu was a bit bland for me. Banh bot chien was really nice a crispy, but too doughy. Need more eggs. Salt toasted shrimp here are super tasty! Lightly fried and tossed with butter and scallions! The other dishes were okay, not my favorite but worth the try! Can always count on Sinh Sinh for late night grub y’all!

Upon being seated, we were momentarily taken back to find forks and spoons at the table. But no worries—we came prepared with our own authentic tableware (trusty chopsticks and table runner). The service was top-notch. Glasses of water were refilled before we even realized they were low, and the staff ensured we had a mountain of rice to accompany our meal. We ordered the Beef Curry and General Tso’s Chicken. The portions were impressivel—just how we like them! The curry was delightfully spiced, delivering a bold punch of flavor. I highly recommend giving this a try. The General Tso’s Chicken leaned a bit heavy on the breading, but the overall flavor still good. I would give something else a try next time. Overall, we had a great experience and thoroughly enjoyed our meal. The restaurant's location right off Bellaire Blvd makes it super convenient, with easy access and plenty of parking. A solid spot for satisfying your Chinese food cravings—just maybe pack your chopsticks if you’re feeling fancy!
