Read moreThe reason I’m giving everything a four star review (november 2024 one star) although I know that this is a small business is because I feel like I have seen other places that are small coffee shops do better. Maybe I just do not appreciate locations that allow dogs inside their café, where other people are eating and for long periods of time, I’m even OK with cats because cats at least keep themselves clean but with the dogs there is mud and other things everywhere. Also a lot of times cats just keep to themselves while dogs are constantly in your space and I do not appreciate that. I do not know you or your dog and strangers need to stay away because I don’t know if your dogs gonna bite me and then people get mad at me when I’m scared and autistic and kick peoples dogs. I don’t do that often and I have to say that, but I also have to say that it has happened and people have gotten mad at me. bringing your dog does not give me or your dog a fair chance to get to know each other. also I will say that I feel like their coffee is a bit expensive. But that’s coming from someone that is a self proclaims poor person. As always much love from Houston and the universe. Ɛ november 2024 update i changed my review to one stars because that's what i wanted to give initially! should always be honest with my entire chest! i'm not a sad individual when differences matter when it comes to human rights! i do not agree to disagree! it's okay if you hate me for this...
Being completely honest, me and my boyfriend were super excited to try this place out. We came on a Saturday which was probably our first fault. Line reached out the door, but that was more of a good sign at first to us! Then, we got towards the cashier. The customer in front of us gave the cashier a bit of an attitude for some reason, which I guess put the cashier in a bad mood. I was hoping to rush my order with the cashier to try and help speed things up and make her feel more at ease but it seems to have not helped her feelings towards the interaction. We didn’t get much of a welcoming vibe or apology for the way she was feeling, which would have been understandable if she did. But anyway, we ordered our coffee then we waited. It is very very crowded inside and we kept getting bumped around every time we moved. This is not a place to study or even lounge inside for a long period of time. (At least on the weekend) I feel there should be some rules in place to maybe combat this but that’s just my opinion. The drinks were really good to me, better than Starbucks and better than the surrounding coffee shops near me. This place is better for a DoorDash order/pickup, not for hanging out inside. Our drinks also came out pretty quickly, it was just the atmosphere that made it seem like we were waiting longer than we were. TL;DR: Great coffee, bad indoor...
Read moreOso Coffee is located on the East End in the 2nd Ward next to other small businesses, and as of right now, it is only open during the weekends for a limited time from 9 am to 2 pm. There is a parking lot on the side for the small businesses there.
Upon enetering Oso, there is merch on the left side, a seating area on the right side, and a small selection of various baked goods. The place is pretty small and the seating area can only fit a few people, but the decor is really cute and has a nice wall of drawings.
Their menu has a lot of basic drinks and also a special drinks. I got the horchata latte and the horchata strawberry surprise along with a concha. The horchata latte was one of the best I have ever had! It was cinnamony, but not too overwhelmingly sweet, which I like. The horchata strawberry surprise was on the sweeter side, but it was super good with a himt of cinnamon and had a good portion of strawberry jam. The concha I got paired well with the horchata latte, and I really enjoyed both drinks.
Overall, I really enjoyed the drinks here. The vibes of the shop was cute and felt very personal, and the workers were also nice. I would...
