Ostioneria Michoacán #5 — Restaurant in Houston

Today 2/16/2024 was the first and last time I have and will ever dine at this location. We arrived at about 5:45 pm on a Lenten Friday. The restaurant was empty. All the chairs were propped up on the table. The bar tender and another server were scrubbing the floors. We sat down at a booth and the server approached us. We ordered our beverages first while we looked through the menu.

I have dined at the 45N and Aldine Bender location several times. We expected the same service and quality of food as we get at the Aldine bender location.

Well it was not even close nor did it compare. I ordered what I usually order and 1. The portions were a lot smaller at this location and 2. The food quality was horrible. I ordered the seafood rice and it was horrible. The rice wasn’t cooked correctly and the seafood that was in the rice smelled and tasted spoiled.

I informed the server and she apologized profusely. After all it wasn’t her fault. She informed the manager. He never came around to speak to us and when we looked his way, he acted like he was busy. Again, there was NO ONE there. This should have been a red flag to us when we arrived.

The manager did not remove the rice from the bill. We still paid for the rice even though I didn’t eat it. Now I know why no one goes and dines there. I have the star for the service because the server was very nice. Horrible food and horrible experience. DON’T WASTE YOUR...

our first time on this restaurant as inide of the restaurant the place its not to bad as service of the servers it need to be improve with some more training and knowledge of their menu as services is the first place that I have been treated really poorly . I order a beer Rita and they make your margarita on the spot what I think is good but only if they do it right but the margarita tasted really bad that was impossible to drink it and I told my waitress that I didn't like it, then the server told me that her manager said that the he couldn't take the margarita out of my tab because if u didn't like it it was my problem. I did ask to speak with the manager y I did ricive the same answer that it was my problem of I didn't like it and for the next time to ask to tried first before I order its only a margarita with a beer. The worst thing is that the manager just keep to saying is the way that it has to be AND TO BE HONEST WITH MY 12 YEARS OF EXPERIENCE ON RESTAURANTS that is not the way to treat your paying customers because we are NOT ASKING NOTHING FOR FREE. I hope this review can catch on the owners or supervisors of this restaurant because WITH A MANAGER LIKE THIS YOUR RESTAURANT IS LOSING PAYING CUSTUMER...

I really was excited to eat here! I didn't realize they had 15 locations. However, this rating experience was massively disappointing. This location had a funky smell le not fresh seafood, which is not ideal for a seafood restaurant. The Linoleum flooring had some really worn areas. The prices are good on the food choices, however the ceviche was all cooked seafood (not ceviche which is "cooked" by acid. The shrimp cocktail was basically cooked shrimp inside tomato juice.
