Pala — Restaurant in Houston

We stopped here at 8am because we had some time to kill before our next departure. I was craving pizza and so we decided to give it a shot - not expecting much at all since it's an airport restaurant but we were pleasantly surprised!! We got the pizza saltimbocca and 2 drinks (Moscow mule which was too limey and a great daiquiri which was surprisingly good!) For $61 which was expensive but good! The crust was made in front of us, and in about 5 minutes we were served. It was SOOOO good!! Fluffy crust edges with a flat crust bottom, with tinges of olive oil from the sauce. Delicious! You should give it a shot!!

Update: USE CASH! just as we were finishing this review we were approached by our waitress who said because we used cash an accident had happened and they made 2 of the same pizza!! So they gave us the duplicate pizza for free!! Definitely made the $61 worth it. So...

Must say thank goodness for me looking at your QR code for prices. Decided to scan it first and see pricing to get me a long New Belgium Voodoo Ranger and of course your price is $11 for 16oz and and additional $4.00 for 23 oz to decide to order it myself at the bar and of course your bartender charged me $23 for the 23oz. I acknowledged it to a female worker of the pricing and of course the male bartender came to fix the issue and told him I’ll give a 15% tip after seeing that he was over charging me. I wonder how many times flyers like myself if in a rush have been taken advantage of. Never received my change back from $20 that was given but thought I’d shared my experience of how your employees are over charging customers like myself for more tip money in there end. I stopped by because my son wanted a pizza before we board. In order to start an order you have to FIRST swipe your card. Well guess what!? We changed our mind and I asked how do I cancel. The two servers gave me blank stares. The Barman from the other side said he had to call his manager. The manager came, didn’t even look at me. Grabbed OJ then walked away. In the meantime the device charged me for a Bloody Mary that I never ordered at 9 am!!!! I was furious. I asked again for a refund. And went to follow the manager, who was trying to ignore me again!! Then I get a receipt. Because the staff don’t know how to use their own devices, another guy sat behind me and charged a vodka. So now I’m out over $20 for air and frustration!
