Pan Dulce Bakery — Restaurant in Houston

Customer service is zero professionalism. They take the other with an attitude. The lady taking the order is super rude and has to go back and forward to ask all the questions because the baker can't come out for a few minutes. I stood my ground and all upset one of the baker's came out annoyed. I still went ahead and made my order. They didn't even ask what time I had to pick it up. Today which is my event I called to see if my order was ready and was told yes. They called me back seconds later and said that my order wasn't ready and that it will be ready in 30 minutes to an hour. I told them I would be there at 2:30 since that's an hour later. They said they would call me that the day of the order that's what they said. I told them they never said that or asked. Then they proceed to blame me for not giving them a specific time and that they have a lot of other orders not just mine. Also proceeds to tell me that as a customer is my responsibility to give then the time because they are super busy on Saturdays. I told them they had to better organize themselves and see if they would be able to fulfill all orders. She then proceeded to say that now I'm going to tell them how to run their business and hanged up. I called back and supposedly the manager answered which also proceeded to tell me the obligation of a customer. I told them just like they didn't like me to tell them how to run their business she shouldn't tell me my role as a customer. All through this time she blamed me for them not having my cake ready. I love this place. You can bring them a picture of the cake you want and they can do the exact thing or better. They go above and beyond. We ordered a cake last minute and they told us they will try to fit the order in since they were super busy and they did to me that’s a big plus. My mom loved the cake and it tasted very fresh and it was a big hit. Will be placing one again this weekend for a friends birthday and one next month for my birthday...

I visited this place for the high online reviews. I did not try the cakes but I did purchase pan dulce. The pan dulce was ok. The cheese empanadas did not have much cheese, the marranitos meh, and the other was stale and dry. The only good item I tried was the choco-flan.
