Ostioneria Las Rocas — Restaurant in Houston

A ripped off place! My father used to go there for the karaoke nights and beers, but one night that I was with him the brought a check for $80 and after I paid they brought another one a little higher to my dad, we started arguing with the bartender about it and the said that my husband drank 8-10 beers which made upset because HE DOESN'T DRINK AT ALL! After the argument my dad paid and we left.

After a long time refusing to go back there I did it when my father died and after a horrible service and that one of our plates never came I asked for my check, then, when they brought it I saw that they were including the tip for the horrible service, plus a fee for paying with a credit card, plus another fee that got me confused! I got upset and I told the server about it, she got upset too and said that "those were their fees" then she called the manager, the same person when we have the first bad experience! She dare to asked me "I thought you'll never come back to this place!" then I went ballistic arguing with her and told her that the only reason that I was there was because of my father's death, that she can't force me to pay her fees, that I will give her cash and I'm not paying any tips whatsoever! The waiter got upset telling me that she don't care and she wanted her tip, I told those two idiots that if they don't like their jobs they should do something else for living, that I was not one of their regular clientele that most likely they often ripped off when already drunk, that they were thiefs and I would report them for their weird fees and left!

With their prices and awful service people can go to way...

Went there today for lunch, despite it being 4th of July, the place was almost empty and now I know why. I had never had such an incompetent, slow server in my life, even the other staff members seemed to be done with her. She took at least 10 minutes to take, mind you, just take our order. I asked her for water with lemon on the side and saw her confused face so I explained it to her again, she said she understood what I meant and proceeded to bring 3 lemonades to the people who ordered water as well. She also forgot to add to the order two dishes that were ordered and seemed not to understand anything we asked for, took forever to bring a simple bottle of sauce and a plate, when it was the moment to pay, she didn't understand how to split a check let alone give back change. Never going back to this awful place despite the food being not so bad. Fui a este lugar a la hora de la comida, y a pesar de ser 4 de Julio el lugar está casi vacío, y ahora sé porqué. Nunca me había tocado una mesera tan incompetente y lenta en mi vida, hasta las otras meseras parecían estar hartas de ella. Se tardó casi 10 minutos para tomar la orden, le pedimos agua natural con limón separado y como parecía que no entendió se lo repetí a ver si a así me entendía, pero terminó trayendo limonada de todas formas. Se tardó mucho para traer un bote de ketchup y un plato extra y se le olvidaron dos platos de los que pedimos, la comida se tardó casi una hora en salir. Al final le pedí que separara el cheque y ni eso sabía hacer, ni siquiera dar cambio. La comida estaba buena pero el servicio horrible, jamás volveré a este...

I ask for somthing with NO BELL PEPERS. I ASK DOSE THE SUPE HAVE BELL PEPERS? SHE SAID NO. I ASK AGAIN PLEASE NO BELL PEPERS I AM ALLERGIC. SHE SAID OK. IT MUST HAVE BEEN SHIFT CHANGE A NEW WAITRESS BROUGHT ME MY CALDO . I ASK HER PLEASE NO BELL PEPERS SHE SAID OK NO BELL PEPERS I TOOK A SPOONFULL THEN ONE MORE. THEN I STARTED TO ICH WHEN I PICKED UP THE 3ED SPOONFULL I SAW A BIG BELL PEPER IN MY FOOD. I SENT THE PLATE BACK AND SAID IT HAD BELL PEPERS AND IT MADE ME SICK A SHORT TIME LATER THE SAME PLATE CAME BACK WITH THE SAME BALEO JUST TOASTED A LITTLE MORE . I GUESS BECOUSE I LOOK LIKE A BOLEO THEY FIGURED I WHANTED ONE RATHER THAN TORTEAS. I CONPLAINED TO THE CAPATAN HE SAID HE WOULD TAKE CARE OF IT. MUCH TO MY SAPRISE WHEN THE BILL CAME THEY CHARGED ME FOR A MEAL I DID NOT ORDER. IF YOU LOOK LIKE AN AMERICAN BE VERY CAREFUL ABOUT WHAT YOU EAT. THE MAN NEXT TO ME WAS HAPPY WITH HIS MEAL BUT HE LOOKED HISPANIC AND HE GOT TORTEAS....
