We recently visited and the best thing was the service. Both gentlemen were extremely attentive and kind. The place and restrooms looked very clean so I was very comfortable. We tried two tamales (they were pretty good-I wish they had more red/green salsa and meet in there but it costs, plus everyone makes them different, but they are a little price; however big, so...) in overall I was content. We had the chile relleno and enmoladas and they were very good. The horchata was the best (not that powdered stuff). The borrego tacos were pretty good too and overall the prices are the same or a little less than other places. We would go back because I want to try other things. I saw many bad reviews, which surprised so maybe it depends on what you get. I found this place to be more authentic than most tex-mex places. The cajeta (caramel) crepes were also very good. We will be back. Again, the service...
Read moreThe first time I ate tamales from here in Little York was in 2018 and they were delicious, today I went shopping and it was closed so I started checking the reviews and I found many bad ones, I wondered why they were like that, ? but I tried them today and if they are right they changed the recipe and the cook (a) they are no longer tasty apart I got plastic in the tamale. The owner has been commenting for two years that they are working on this, but they are really bad, it goes from taste to taste but apart from being expensive they have little hygiene enough, start making them tasty before they go to ruin, for my part I He annoys with the piece of plastic that I took out. Beware, it is not to make them a bad name, simply put yourself in my place, pay for a Tamal $6.50 and that it comes out plastic, it is not worth being careful, there are children who eat and they can get sick...
Read moreFirst time going there. We were not greeted, it's clean inside but the service is bad I guess because we were women(my mom and me). But as soon as a man walked in they greeted him and all smiles and laughing with him. One of the ladies kept asking if we were going to eat inside or takeout. I told her to give me a moment because I was looking at the menu. She mumble something, wish I would of heard what she said if not I would of said something to her. The food has a nice presentation but once you taste it, it's bad. No flavor, no seasoning! I had a huarache de chicharon prensado. The masa part was very thin like a tortilla. (If I wanted a tostada I would of ordered one😒) the chicharron had no flavor and it tasted more like water down. My mom had the enchiladas rojas de pollo. She didn't like them either. She said nothing on her plate had no flavor. Don't plan...
