I like the atmosphere of this little restaurant. Unfortunately, the food quality has taken a tumble. And the service seemingly followed. Had a quick dinner on Wednesday evening with my daughter. I oredered the lemongrass beef vermicelli, the meat tasted okay but the bowl was soo full of noodles and salad that you could hardly get through it. My daughter ordered the bo luc lac beef, the meat tasted old and lacked any good flavor. Only good thing about her plate was the bowl of pho broth it came with. She enjoyed that.
When I approached our server to ask about the quality of the food, she seemed to understand that we did not like the plate. I told them my daughter only ate the small broth and we would like to see about them removing the plate from our ticket. I would have been okay with paying for the broth she enjoyed. The server again acknowledged that we were not content and told me she would not be removing the plate and did not bring a manager out.
At this point, we needed to go so i was ready to pay and leave. Then i notcied our ticket was more expensive than i had estimated and in reviewing with the server we found that the menus we were given were "old" and did not have the right prices. I asked the server if they can adjust the price to reflect what we saw. They were unwilling to make any adjustments. She told me that they changed the prices 6 months ago but didn't change all the menus. I signed off on it with a minimal tip for the complete lack of effort on the server to assist us with any kind of redeeming quality.
This morning i get an alert from my credit card company asking me if I intended to leave a $20 tip on a $33 tab. Needless to say, i will be stopping by again today but it wont be for the dining experience.

The food was decent, but nothing that would really stand out. I ordered a seafood dish that was fine, though the noodles looked like they had too much startch on them as they stuck together even in the soup.
The atmosphere was actually pretty enjoyable. I'm not sure how much of the decore they kept from the previous establishment, but the wood furnishings provided really made the restaurant feel like it was higher scale than the food would have you believe.
Unfortunately, the overall experience was marred by the service. A few of the other reviews have touched on this as well, and it became apparent when we started to deal with the wait staff.
Drink orders occurred 15 minutes after being seated, which required being moved from the original table choice because someone else was apparently already there...
The food came out at variable lengths as well. Two orders were at the same time, and the third was close to 10 minutes after. That same meal also took a trip around the restaurant before it found our table.
Like I mentioned earlier though, the food wanst bad, so not a total loss.
I expect the staff will get better. There is always room for improvement. Those there when I ate seemed fairly new, and even then they seemed a bit understaffed.
If you plan to eat here, just be aware the wait may not be worth the end result, but it's a clean and nice...
Read moreTried this place for the first time because my local go to Pho place was closed for the holidays. The place was clean and the atmosphere nice. The waiter was responsive friendly. I ordered water and recieved a very small glass with a lemon slice floating in it. I like lemon, but normally do not order it because I don't trust where it's been before it gets dropped into the glass. I immediately noticed something black floating next to the slice, so I requested a new one without lemmon. I ordered Pho Ga and waited about 10 minutes for it to come out. I thought that was strange since there was no one else in the place and othrr places usually take about half the time even when busy. I immediately tried the broth and was not impressed, as it had little to no flavor even after adding black pepper and the lime juice. There was not enough white meat chicken for the price, was cut very thin and was dry. I have eaten this dish at many different restaurants in Houston and know what good Pho is. I spent almost $10.00, not including the tip and walked out still hungry with a weird after taste in my mouth. Needless to say I will...
