Picatta Pizza & Pasta — Restaurant in Houston

Ordered fried mushrooms, but upon delivery we received cheese sticks instead. When I called to inform them of the error, they told me they chose to substitute what I ordered and paid for, because they were out of fried mushrooms. So instead of calling me to ASK what I'd like to substitute or IF I'd like to substitute, they decided to make a substitution, and not inform me AT ALL, just so that they would not lose the money that I had spent. When I requested a refund, I was told that the manager was not available and not currently there at the restaurant, and that I would have to call back later- not that someone would RETURN MY call to address my grievance, but that I would need to CALL BACK and follow-up myself. Also, Sandwich/sub did not taste good and was not at all as advertised. I ordered cheesesteak, but received some sort of other meat on my sandwich instead. When I questioned them about the non-steak meat/sub sandwich, they gave me another poor, unacceptable excuse about the type of meat...

The gluten-free pizza crust (12" only, and for a 2" upcharge) was paper thin and crispy (just the way I like it!), and had a good flavor. The Garden Salad was fresh and had a good amount of non-lettuce ingredients. I had the GF American pizza, and it was quite tasty.

Only 4 mozzarella sticks arrived rather than 6 (which left my friend hungry). Delivery was ~15 minutes late, so the food arrived lukewarm. There were too few pepperoni on the American (but the other ingredients were a good amount).

I'll order again simply because they have GF pizza crust.

I'm really disappointed that if you try to order for delivery for literally pocket change less than their $15 minimum, an option to round up to $15 isn't there. I could see myself ordering the GF American and a side Garden Salad regularly if this was an option... Instead I have to add some item I don't want to the order because otherwise the total is literally pennies less...

If I could leave no stars, I would. I walked in the restaurant yesterday after phoning in my order to an extremely rude receptionist. No one greeted me. The men in the kitchen kept cooking with no gloves, laughing, joking and high-fiving each other as they cooked customers meals in a filthy kitchen. This restaurant is unsanitary and they have rude people working on the phone, and cash register. Let’s bot even mention my food. One of my pizzas was burnt to the crisp. The other was ok and the wings and fried mushroom was fine too, but did we eat it without warming it all up again to kill off the handsy “chefs” yessss!! I don’t know where all these fab reviews are from but if you want to know the truth, walk into the restaurant and see for yourself. I regret not taking a pic of that mess. Please do...
