I left a review on December 27, 2018 regarding my then delivery order being over two hours late. Today, I am leaving another review because I have now experienced an ever bigger issue. Due to December 27th’s order being over two hours late, I received an email from Pizza Hut on the 28th containing a coupon code for a free large pizza. The only stipulations listed in the email are: 1. offer exires January 25, 2019, 2. additional charge for extra cheese, 3. no purchase required, 4. coupon only valid for one-time use, 5. discount not applicable to tax, delivery charge or driver tip. I attempted to place an order online using the code, but I was unable to submit the order because I did not meet the $9.99 subtotal. I decidedly to call the location of the store I attempted to place the order. I initially spoke with one of the team members who retrieved my information as well as my order. At this point, I was already on the phone for 8 minutes. There was error in the system and the team member transferred my call to the manager. While speaking to the manager, I was told that I should add an additional menu item to my order to meet the $9.99 subtotal, choose cash as the payment option and to place the order, and the manager who have the driver deliver only the free pizza and I would only have to pay the $4.06 ($3.75 delivery charge and $0.31 in taxes). This sounded so simple over the phone until I attempted to place the order online once again, only to have an error message pop up on the screen telling me to contact the store directly. Once again, I placed a call to the same location. This time, I spoke with someone differently. This person told me that there was no way I could have successfully completed the order online and only have the free pizza delivered and only pay $4.06 the way the manager told me. He explained to me that the order was completed (although I received an error message) and I would be delivered two pizzas and have to pay $19.20. I became frustrated and was told that the manager from the location could be contacted with an urgent message to contact me. (So, who had I been speaking to and for which location?) I ended this phone call and decided to contact customer service and after everything was said and done, I’m expecting to receive a phone call from upper management. Read more“ today 8/19 i made the first order and the app telling me my order is failed so i though it didnt go through but it did and still charge my bank account ( i didnt know) . So i wait 5 min like the app said -made the second order delivery pay by cash” the first driver show up with the order that paid by card showed up , my son paid him 30$ in cash cause he thought its the one. He didnt even give my son the receipt and still take the cash. Second guy show up and we have no idea whats going on so i checked my card and pizza hut app and i see 2 orders. So the first order that i made it went throught but its the app error showing it didnt go through. I feel bad for the second driver show up that didnt get pay + tip and having to bring the order back to the store. The first guy wasnt honest. I called in and got refund for the 30$ cash my son gave the first guy. Appreciate the help of the management but the guy keep blaming on me for making order twice when i didnt even want to. I go inside they don't acknowledge my question of why didn't the woman tell me to come inside and get the pizza a guy just says here's your pizza and starts to walk away, I ask for the receipt which usually comes with the survey and I wanted to leave a review. The guy says we'll I'm not giving you a receipt it was free... it's in your email. As if it wasn't my rewards points accumulated from ordering often that got me the free pizza.
