Riley's Donuts — Restaurant in Houston

I rather enjoyed my time at Riley's. I ordered two sausage cheese kolaches, a cup of coffee, and a donut. The donuts were a little unique and definitely fun to eat, but the kolaches made with croissants were what sold me. They were delicious, filling, and not something you could purchase elsewhere. The owner was very friendly and chatty with each of his customers, and he made me feel very welcome when I decided to dine in for an hour and a half. My bill was $9, which meets my expectations for having a meal out of the house, but was a little pricier than a typical donut shop. Was it worth the price? Absolutely. I couldn't even finish my donut because I felt so full already. The only reason I didn't give this place a five star was that while they did exceed my expectations with the food and friendliness, the atmosphere and prices were just meeting expectations. What an amazing variety of breakfast options! Breakfast croissants, breakfast tacos, breakfast biscuits, kolaches, donuts, muffins, cinnamon rolls, fritters, and danishes! They are ALL incredibly delicious but my favorites are the bacon, egg and cheese croissants and blueberry danishes! 😋 The owner and staff are very friendly and are strong community supporters! When I take Riley's into the office, my co-workers RAVE about how tasty everything is! Riley's breakfast is ALWAYS a hit! They also have every beverage option you would want (except maybe alcohol 😉). I liked this place the first few times. It isn't the best donuts or kolaches just decent but it is on my way to work.... Last week I talked to the owner about ordering 2 dozen donuts. He said yes just call. Well I forgot to call and when I got there they had everything I needed made except I needed 6 chocolate frosted with sprinkles for my first graders that have been testing all week: I asked if they could quickly add sprinkles to 6 chocolate iced donuts (the donuts were made it was literally a matter of only adding sprinkles) He said no we don't have time.
