Salata — Restaurant in Houston

The food is great quality but the employees are turning away customers and have a bad attitude. I've been coming here for years but the past 6 months have been very frustrating dealing with employees and their bad attitudes. There is an older Hispanic lady who appears to be the supervisor on the evening shift and she has the worst attitude!!! This heights location is so close to home but I've had way better service at other locations. Today, she was talking with employees in Spanish and a customer verbally expressed he was upset because they were taking forever to help us. On top of the wait, the lady was rude and seemed to be disturbed when my mother was asking for additional scoops of veggies. Considering my salads tend to be 20 dollars because of all the extra add ons we have, I would not have a problem being charged for extra veggies! This isn't the first time she has been rude but she clearly has no urgency for keeping clientele or making business profitable. She needs to be monitored and addressed regarding her customer...

I eat at this particular Salata about 3 times a week. Service is always fast and efficient, and the queue moves quickly. If you're not getting protein, the price can't be beat, and even if you are, the prices are still great.

Lots of choices for toppings, several lettuce/greens choices, many protein choices, and good selection of brewed teas, lemonades, and some canned and bottled drinks. I've also never encountered them running out of anything (even in the evening). The only times when they haven't had a certain item, it's been because of things like the romaine recall.

Best of all, the staff are friendly and they are great about keeping the restaurant (including the restrooms) clean. Lastly, while the restrooms aren't unisex, they are single occupancy, which is nice.

There's a reason why this is my go-to Salata, for sure!

Edited to add: My one "complaint" is that I wish they had a better soup selection. They only have 3 and they don't change, and none of them are particularly...

There were two ladies who were irritated and kept rolling their eyes when I asked about their removal of leaves from my bowl by two handfuls and added back in three leaves, literally. Unlike another location on Westheimer in HTX that makes sure you get your $13 worth plus taxes of the small salad (I have never had to ask for more). Then the employee "in training" started using unfriendly gestures and being rude about it in front of the manger. She started speaking to me over the manager. The manager came out and was polite enough, however unable to resolve the issue. You could see parts of the bottom of the container and the salad barely touched the top of the clear lid. It was not a good experience. The food looked fresh,however, this was an upsetting experience and I was very disappointed. For now, the location on Westheimer will...
