Sometime back, in a dine in experience here, well, it wasn’t really that great and experience and I had mentioned this on my Facebook page and the company was kind enough to contact me and offer me a $15 gift certificate to give them another try. So several months later, I’m here today ordering a chocolate shake and a spicy jalapeño smash double hamburger with extra avocado. The chocolate shake is acceptable, but not memorable as it has a kind of a chemical chocolate syrup taste to it. But then I decided it wasn’t tasty enough for the calories and had half. I see that on Friday from 2-5, shakes are half off.
And now onto the burger. Burger to go. While I was here, three pre-diabetic plus-size people came in and I could tell from their conversation with the staff that they had a chip on their shoulders, looking to find something wrong, even as they were planning their order. And the staff stayed friendly and handled it very, very well so compliments to the staff. Example: one of the people was looking at the video photo of the burnt and burger and remarking. “That sure looks like a small burger. It looks more like a slider.” (As if a photo on a wall could really reveal the actual size of the sandwich. That kind of thing)
When you get a burger to go, and in all probability the bun is gonna be smashed pretty flat from the wrapping up process. A non-issue. It was a pretty good burger today and considering the price versus the size I think good value. So I thank them for letting me have another chance to make it right.
I am more of a fan of the pile of shredded lettuce like one finds on a Whataburger or Someburger, than the single, lonely lettuce strip like on this burger. So think of this as a burger, where you come for a big hunk of meat rather than for the lettuce or tomato combo of a...
Read moreI've been wanting to try this place for a while, so I was excited to give it a shot. First off, customer service was terrible from the start. The person at the counter seemed like they were annoyed that I had questions about the menu. Secondly, it's expensive: $28 for my wife and I to get cheeseburgers, share an order of fries, and two drinks. That is absolutely ridiculous. Third, the restaurant was filthy. The bathroom was dirty and had NO soap, all the tables in the restaurant were dirty and sticky, and there was trash on the floors. And the restaurant was empty, so there was no excuse for this. While waiting on our order, one of the chefs used the bathroom and then went back to the kitchen. This really grossed me out since there was no soap in the bathroom. Before I knew it, my wife told me to cancel the order and get a refund (she read my mind). When I asked for a refund, the manager didn't bother to look at me, speak to me, ask what was wrong, or apologize. The counter person asked me why I wanted a refund. I told her because the bathrooms were dirty and had no soap. Then she had the audacity to ask me again, and say "because the bathrooms are dirty huh? Just wanted to make sure I heard that right". I looked her in the eye and said "yes, you heard that right".
One of the worst dining experiences I've had, and I didn't even eat the food. I can't imagine the state of the kitchen at this "restaurant", considering the dining area and bathrooms were filthy and customers can see those areas. The kitchen must...
Read moreWorst place to eat. The food would be great if they could prepare it right like all the other smash burgers. I went in for the 4th time this summer, and even asked the manager very politely before I got my order taken to please make sure it was prepared right. Not only was the burger that they have messed up 4 times was wrong again (without bacon) but mine had mustard in it as well. When I talked on the phone with the manager she told me to come back. She saw me when I came into the restaurant made eye contact with me, and stayed in the kitchen while she took care of everyone else while I’m starving when I haven’t had my food yet for an hour now since it was messed up. To add on top of it, her little worker gets in my face and puts a finger up to get me to stop talking. Like I haven’t even said anything to you and you’re already putting a finger in my face ? The saddest part of all is I’ve worked for the previous manager in this place and I know how she runs her shop and she would be appalled to see that her old place has gotten as incompetent as to not place bacon on 4 different BACON burgers on 4 different occasions. I didn’t say anything the first or the second time, I was polite enough to tell her in a nice manner before ordering, and instead of making sure a customer that has come here since high school gets his food right after working for 12 hours, she makes it even worse than the last 3 visits. Go to another smash burger if you want your...
