Don't understand how this place could have 4.3 Stars period I had the worst experience ever here and it was my first dining experience. I was referred by a patron that "raved " about the burgers at the Heights location. My friend Alice and I stopped it some burger this past Sunday and it was around 4:30 in the evening and ordered burgers, regular burger with mayo, lettuce tomato and mustard; And a Double meat cheese burger with 3 slices of cheese and bacon, lettuce tomato pickles onion mustard mayo, waffle fries and onion rings. Upon completion of our order got home to find out that the burgers were not made how we requested my burger was short a extra piece of cheese I asked for , bacon that was supposed to be on the burger as well as the normal accoutrements that typically are coupled with a burger that's all the way such as pickle tomato lettuce mayonnaise and mustard. My friend Alice Burger was without mayo, mustard and had a pickle and a dried bun. So after spending around $30 bucks or so for two burgers and onion rings and waffle fries. Upon realizing once we were home that these burgers were made totally incorrectly Alice and I called back to speak to the staff there. I spoke to a young man by the name of Apuldo (if that's even his real name) and he stated that I ordered the burger incorrectly and that's why it was missing the extra cheese and bacon and condiments... (that in general typically would come on a cheeseburger ) not only did I get charged for items, the gentleman on the phone stated I needed to bring the burgers back to him but they will be closed in a few minutes ! Where the hell they do that at? Then later talking today talking to (Manager) Ann she told me that the owner could not replace the order because we did not come back with the burgers to present to them however the restaurant was closing at 5:00 so how do I return a burger to a close restaurant? So after speaking to Ann she told me we would need to reorder the burgers and she would not charge me for a bacon or the extra slice of cheese. What type of good business practices are these ? good business practice would have been to honor remaking the order and satisfying the disgruntled Patron and Making it Right for the customer...this was not this did not happen. Someburger needs "some" employees and management with "some training" in customer service and good business /community relations practices. Houston and Heights foodies just beware of poor business practices at a burger joint that has pre-pressed burger patties and little character detail as well as Piss-Poor...

So when I went to have lunch at @sushibytheheights a few weeks ago, I drove past this little burger stand on 11th Street - Someburger. I've been thinking about paying it a visit ever since.
Then this morning i found out that apparently The Rapture is tomorrow. Well, crud. I'm not sure if it happens right at Midnight or if it's a rolling thing lije New Year's Eve and I can watch Dick Clark's cryogenically frozen body give me all the updates as the Rockin' Rapture makes it's way around the globe. So I REALLY needed to visit Someburger today because when i get Raptured (you just KNOW I'm one of The Chosen), I have a belly full of Bacon Double Cheeseburger.
So I was good to go promptly at 11am. D'OH! My mom had accidentally taken the car keys and it seemed I was going to be denied my final meal (well - one of them anyway. It's still early.) I knew this was Beelzebub's work - doing his best to deny me my chili dog burps as I meet my Lord and Saviour. "Get thee behind me, Satan!" I yelled. And it worked! My brother showed up shortly with the key fob! Woohoo!
I hopped into the hoopty and headed for the Heights! Someburger plays it's part well - yellow and green paint job, picnic tables with red umbrellas, Spaceman mural. But how was my (possibly) Final burger and chili dog gonna taste? I say possibly because i still haven't decided what's for dinner tonight.
The answer is - they are both quite good. I actually ordered the Someburger with Bacon, Cheese, Double Meat, Jalapeños, a Fried Egg and Lettuce, Tomatoes, Pickles and Mayo. The burger was frickin' MASSIVE but they did a great job picking bread because the bun held up splendidly. Same with the Chili Cheese Dog. The bun didn't fall apart (unlike me who will totally turn into a blubbering puddle of jelly in the upcoming Battle of Armageddon). Also, the Beef Frank they use is HUGE! (And not in the typical male overestimating kinda way, but ACTUALLY huge.)
Also got some Onion Rings. They were nice and crispy. And an Unsweet Ice Tea cuz I'm counting calories.
Y'all should stop by one day when the weather is nice. It's a cool little corner to eat on and watch the world go by. I'd join you, but I'm gonn be unavailble due to the whole...

On May 15, 2025, we went to Someburger at 745 E 11th in Houston. The weather was nice, and we were our usual group of six. Parking was a little tight. This burger shop is a casual outdoor stand with a walk-up window, no indoor dining area, and no restrooms. Despite being near a busy intersection, there were plenty of families around. We arrived at 7:15 PM.
The menu was basic but straightforward, with lots of available add-ons (including horchata milkshakes). The logo is cute and minimalist, with good color contrast. The outdoor seating area was clean, the tables weren’t sticky, and the kitchen looked clean from what we could see through the order window. Service was fine — the man at the window kept up with all our orders and was friendly enough. As for restrooms: there weren’t any. One of our diners had to walk across the street.
The food: We all ordered Someburgers with cheese — some with jalapeños and bacon, one with egg. They came with mayo, mustard, lettuce, pickles, and tomatoes. The patties were well-cooked and seasoned, though a bit thin. The buns were “perfectly toasted,” and the toppings were described as “juicy,” “fresh,” and well-proportioned. The fries were seasoned waffle fries with a crunchy coating (a favorite for most of us). The onion rings were crispy and seasoned, maybe even slightly over-breaded. Drinks were bottled sodas.
Overall: One of our diners called this her “favorite burger spot so far.” The location fits the Heights — bike-accessible and casual — but the picnic tables being surrounded by parking lots and streets detracts from the overall experience. The lack of restrooms and the bottled sodas were noted as downsides.
Overall...
