My recent visit to Spanky's Pizza was an absolutely delightful experience, a testament to their consistency in delivering both quality and taste. Among their varied menu, the standout for me this time was their spaghetti. Perfectly cooked pasta, entwined with a rich, flavorful sauce that boasted just the right balance of herbs and spices, left an indelible impression. It was a dish that reminded me why simplicity, when done right, can be so satisfying.
But it's not just the spaghetti that keeps me coming back to Spanky's. Their Caesar salad is a fresh, crisp starter that perfectly sets the stage for the main course. The lettuce is always fresh, the croutons perfectly crunchy, and the dressing, with its tangy and creamy texture, brings the whole dish together.
Their pepperoni pizza, a classic favorite, is a slice of heaven. The crust is cooked to a perfect golden brown, providing a satisfying crunch with each bite. The pepperoni is generously layered and has just the right amount of spice, complemented by the gooey, melted cheese. Best thing also , even eating this baby the next day , it still tasted so good!
The hot wings are another must-try. They strike a fine balance between spicy and flavorful, making it hard to stop at just one. The wings are juicy and cooked to perfection, with a crispy exterior that holds up well against the rich, spicy sauce. The ranch taste so good also just adding that extra flavor to the wings!
The margaritas at Spanky's deserve a special mention. They are expertly mixed, offering a refreshing and zesty accompaniment to the meal. Each sip is a blend of tart and sweet, making it the perfect beverage to cut through the richness of the food. Now I must warn you , they are indeed good but STRONG!! This is also one of the best places to get a $4 margarita between 3-7pm .
Finally, the grilled chicken sandwich is a testament to the kitchen's versatility. The chicken is tender and flavorful, with a nice char that adds depth to the overall taste. Paired with fresh lettuce, tomato, and a delectable sauce, it's a sandwich that stands out in its simplicity and taste.
In summary, Spanky's Pizza is a place that consistently impresses with its array of offerings. Each dish is prepared with care and skill, making it a go-to destination for anyone looking for a casual yet delicious dining experience. Whether it's for a quick bite or a leisurely meal, Spanky's delivers on all...
Read moreWhere to start…I guess I get this is a pizza/bar? However, it is still a restaurant and a certain level of cleanliness should be expected in my opinion. Upon walking in at dinner prime time it is a mess. There also wasn’t a lack of staff. Plenty of people were standing around ignoring all the food and mess along the front door path. Then you have the bathrooms where there is water all over the sink and okay I know it is a men's bathroom, but come on that is a lot of urine on the floor. I wouldn’t be able to use it without soaking the bottom of my shoes. Sadly lighting on the phone doesn’t pick it up well so I couldn’t get a good shot. Regardless it was gross!
Now how about the food and the prices? We ordered 2 pizzas the largest and second-largest. Next some pasta a spaghetti and lasagna. Hard to get these wrong right? You would think…The pizza was ordered as NY for the crust and that was not a thin NY crust! It was also super greasy. The dough texture with crust toppings 100% reminded me of a little caesars pizza just with 4-5x the price tag and a lot more grease. Did I bring up it was greasy yet? I couldn’t finish it. I had trouble literally giving it away. My roommates (college boys) couldn’t stomach it!
Like holy #$%@ if they cannot eat it that is nuts. I see why it has a bar with the pizza. Must be drunk to eat it? The spaghetti was bland and only 2 meatballs. My girl literally just tossed the lasagna because no one was brave enough after the pizza and spaghetti to try it. Finally, even the breadsticks were dry and bland. Srly? Come on how did you even mess up the breadsticks?
I don’t mean to be rude or mean. I am just being honest. These pies were literally the worst I’ve ever had and I think I’ve eaten everything local that most would have tried and some small mom and pop shops. I cannot recommend eating here in its current condition. I hope they figure out their pie-making skills and recipes because at these prices I should be going to Grimaldi’s which is a much better true NY quality pie for the...
Read more2-stars for Food and Setting - So, Spanky's. The food's not bad, honestly. It's just... nothing I'd crave or really miss, you know? I've eaten there a couple of times, and the place itself is clean and roomy, which is nice. Our server was totally fine, no complaints there.
But here's where things went sideways, and this is really about the management. I sent them a DM because I thought I might have left something at my table. All I wanted was for them to quickly check their cameras and tell me if it was there. Didn't ask them to move mountains! Their first reply was like, "I'll check the cameras this morning" I was like, "Cool, thanks a bunch!"
Then... crickets. That evening, nothing. So, I sent a polite nudge: "Hey, just a friendly reminder to check those cameras when you get a sec. Thanks!" I got a reply, but it was basically an excuse and "I'll get to it first thing tomorrow." I felt bad for bugging them and apologized. And then? Radio silence for three whole days. Dead air. My last message, "Is there someone else who can actually help me?" was just read and ignored.
Seriously, what's the deal with promising to help when you have zero intention of doing so? It would've been way more professional and just, you know, decent, to simply say, "Bummer about your lost item, but unfortunately, I can't really help with camera checks." That would've been totally understandable.
Instead, they just led me on, which is super annoying. It really makes their customer service look bad, and honestly, it kinda ruins the whole experience, even if the food...
