First time here , we went threw the drive threw and our order came out fast! Maybe to fast. 😔 My crispy tacos I ordered were a soggy mess sitting in a pool of water. The ground beef in the tacos had little to no flavor, definitely needed some seasoning or pinch of salt atleast. They also contained potatoe which I dont eat and was not in the decription on the menu. Along with the tacos we ordered a torta with beef fajita which was delicious, the beef was very well seasoned. Hubby wanted a little mayo on it which they dont have any mayo, but it was delicious without it. Now to the pound of barbacoa we ordered, the barbacoa was dry (the juice was all with my tacos I guess) the barbacoa was also not seasoned and tasteless. Their red and green sauce was good. They packaged everything up seperatly , perfectly to keep the cold items lile sour cream and veggies from spoiling, i loved that. But the guacamole had little taste and looked like taco bells over processed puree instead of real guacamole. So while most of the order was packaged very efficiently the crispy tacoes were not and if they used some salt it wouldn't have been half bad. Maybe they are having a bad day, we may give them a second chance or atleast know where to get...
Read moreWe pulled in through drive-thru and ordered, but decided we wanted to eat inside, so we went inside and as soon as we sat down they brought our food within 5 mins (maybe less) that we had already ordered through drive-thru along with chips and salsa. Soon after my boyfriend and I started eating we realized that the doors were being locked; meaning they were closing. We apologized because we felt bad (we truly didnt know they were literally about to close when we walked in, but the guy made us feel welcomed STILL and said it's ok. My boyfriend was like "man, I don't like being that person that walks in at the last minute and has everyone waiting til we're done eating to go home". They didn't rush us AT ALL, but we did try to not take too long. We appreciate the kindness and still making us feel not rushed even though they were closing. One thing I will mention though, it is FREEZING in there, so if you decide to go.. maybe bring a jacket/sweater or something in case. Would love to hear about Y'ALLS experience! Read moreThe food here is really good! They are a local chain too so they know a lot about what they are doing. My favorite things to get are gorditas, nachos, tacos, tortas, and quesadillas. Everything is always flavorful and cooked to how you order it with a vast selection of tender and savory meats. The prices are worth it when it comes to taste and portion sizes. Just about every dish comes with basic condiments like pico, onions, lettuce, tomato, etc. The chips are delicious on their own and the salsas available are made in house and are really good. The tortillas are made in house too and sometimes you can see the lady there making them fresh. This location is a relocation as they outgrew their previous home...due to how popular they are. One thing that the Houston food scene is the best at is Mexican food and this taqueria does it...
