Don Leo (Food Truck) — Restaurant in Houston

I USED to eat here everyday. I USED to claim it was the best $1 taco in town... Was such a frequent customer , all I had to do was hold up my fingers to show how many tacos I wanted cuz they knew what I wanted , and they would make mine ahead of the line. (They would tell the customers waiting that I called in my order 😁) In the last year , the food quality has gone down , and the service is worse. Even speaking in clear and precise Spanish, my order gets messed up. How hard is it to put meat and lettuce only , into a tortilla? It wasn't because they were busy , as I was the only one there. When the owners son stopped running the truck , everything changed. The food isn't as good. The tortillas are now so wet with grease , they fall apart . You end up with a meat and lettuce salad . The flavor of the meat has gone a little bland. And apparently they don't have lettuce anymore, cuz in the last 5-6 trips there , I get my tacos however they decide to make them. I'll never go back. To the owner , if you're reading.. I'm the guy on the big red and white street legal dirt bike and old blue firebird. Just so you know this isn't just some random person talking down on your business. Out of all the tacos trucks on that street , I always chose yours because the food was great. Now I go to your closest competitor. Their food quality has remained the same over the last 2+ years. Their customer service has been the same in the last 2+ years. Was greatly looking forward to trying the restaurant you were opening behind the truck. I'll pass now though. Last week I drove from Santa Fe , to go get some of your tacos. I ordered 6 fajita tacos with only lettuce, and even gave a $5 tip. I got 6 tacos full of cilantro and onions. 😡 Your worker refused to change/fix my order. I ordered in Spanish , so there was no confusion , and I speak Spanish well.... Your hired help , left unsupervised, is going to run your hard work into...

One of the taco trucks on Edgebrook, top 10 throughout Southeast Houston. Amazing customer service, no taxed $1 tacos. Straight to the meats, no filler. Trompo is and will always be the best meat for late night taco action.

Decent parking spaces, safe environment, good street lighting. Good jams by the taco guys. Vibe is just right. 💯 I highly recommend yall to stop by this truck on the way down this street if you're on a taco tour of edgebrook. Everything hits just right. No tinfoil plating or messy anything. Trays and everything needed for comfortable eating.

The trompo was very good and well cooked. The bistec was very, very, very saaallltyyy!!! We could not even eat it but if it were seasoned less it would be perfect. The gorditas were a nice size and crisp exterior. These gorditas are the type I like and haven't had in a while, nowadays the gorditas taco trucks offer are small and very thin but these are much better in my opinion. Tacos are $1 so great price, we also got a volcan for $2. I'm used to reg tortilla sized volcanes but they use the small taco tortilla which for $2 is pricey in my opinion.
