Taqueria Los Charros (Food Truck) — Restaurant in Houston

2/10/25: Updated review! Beware! So at the recommendation of a friend. I tried this place again over the weekend. The birra tacos are delicious. However, when checking my bank account today, I realized that I was charged for more than what they told me. They told me it was $36 for 2 plates, a little on the high side, but they are really good and were for 6 tacos each. When I looked at my bank account, I was charged $40. All I did was tap my card. Beware if you order! And check your receipt! I won't go back. I don't like deceitful people.

I mean, it's a food truck, so the atmosphere is what it is. It was nice enough. The service was fast and friendly. The food I'm on the fence about. I ordered the bacon cheese fries. They were decent. I would have liked the fries to be a little more crispy, especially since they were loaded up with cheese. I also ordered the chicken quesadilla, not realizing it was made with dark meat, so it was full of fat and gristle. I took 2 bites and had to spit both out. I gave the rest to my husband since he can eat fatty foods, and he said it was a lot fat and gristle even for him. It was my first time there, so I will give it another try but will definitely stay away from...

Just left this food truck, I order 1 chicken quesadilla with a Mexican soda. The chicken quesadilla said $9.99 on the menu. The lady said my total was $18 something and I already thought it was weird it turned out to be so much. I check my account and the lady actually charged me $20.03 for 1 chicken quesadilla and a drink… clearly I was ripped off. The food really isn’t even good either tbh. Chicken dry as hell, rice also dry and bland and the beans are nothing special either. I did ask the lady why I was charged so much and she acted like she had no idea what I was saying like she didn’t speak any English at all but had no problem ringing up my order then added a couple more dollars to the total? Absolutely ridiculous. I even tipped cash before she rang up my total and still ripped me off. STAY AWAY FROM...

The lady gave us a really bad attitude. My husband asked what kind of meat was in the birria and she was rude in her response. He tried to ask what kind of cut to clarify but she didn't understand.

I ordered a fajita burrito & they gave me ground beef. Their horchata tastes horrible, almost spoiled. My husband asked if we could exchange it but the lady claimed that's how horchata tastes like. I'm from Mexico and know the difference.

After my husband got a nasty response, I decided not to try to talk to them about the burrito. But the food is overpriced and you get a small portion for it. I would never come back here again, there's so many better options with greater value and...
