CANA Tea & Coffee — Restaurant in Houston

First time visiting CANA Tea & Coffee — first and foremost I visited their soft opening honestly just expecting a normal boba tea run and I had such an amazing experience !! When I came in the store I was told that they were a new establishment that just took over the last boba place in this address so they were still transitioning over. The wonderful lady that greeted me talked me through their great menu and all the toppings that they had and even gave me wonderful recommendations based on what I said I was used to ordering from the last boba place. The staff there were extremely friendly and I felt like I found my new favorite boba place based on just my first interactions! I ordered a taro milk tea and a wintermelon milk tea with the crystallized boba she recommended and it was extremely good! Honestly at least 10x better than all the well known chain boba places most of us are used to. I can’t wait for this place to be officially open because I fell in love with the ambiance, the staff’s hospitality, the quality of the drinks, and incredible flavor. I highly recommend this place and that everyone try it out, they didn’t have it available during the soft opening but they told me that they will also sell bahn mi/viet sandwiches when they do and I bet it’ll be amazing as well. My best friend and I stopped in here, hoping to catch up and have some good bubble tea. The line was long, I think a lot of students come here after school. It took about 10 minutes to get to the front of the line. The cashier was very slow but at that point I was okay with it. They have a tablet where you sign and it asks for a tip, so I had already given a 15% tip. We stood to wait for our tea for another 35 MINUTES. We just got one tea each. We were chatting and as the time ticked by we went from patient to annoyed. We saw multiple people who were before us be served their tea. One group of girls came in and ordered and got their tea within 5 MINUTES. There was a teen next to us who had ordered before us who was waiting as well. We got our tea before him and I don't know how long he waited after we left. My drink was average and definitely not worth the 45 minutes all together spent trying to get it. I got the Mint Green Cream Tea. My best friend got a Rose Cream Tea and we think they must have forgotten or not cleaned the equipment well enough because it tasted very gross, like it was mixed with coffee. Used to love this location until ownership and employees changed. The customer service was terrible. They messed up 2 of my drinks, and I didn’t notice until I got home, so I called and a manager told me I could get it replaced. However when I got to the store an employee named Jodi was really rude and showed attitude. She repeatedly stated “I can’t give you free drinks” as if I was doing something wrong and trying to exploit the situation. She made me stand there waiting for 40 minutes for her to get in contact with a manager (until closing time). I tried asking her about the situation many times but she merely walked away in the middle of the conversation- EXTREMELY RUDE. She began cleaning the store without even telling me I wouldn’t be able to get my drinks, as if my time wasn’t as valuable as hers.
