Taquerias Arandas — Restaurant in Houston

My wife and I stopped by this location yesterday and placed an ordered to go. My wife ordered a quesadilla and I had a torta. First the quesadilla, not only was the fajita dry buy the cheese was almost none existence. If it had any less cheese it wouldn’t have had any at all. The torta was even worse. Taquerias Arandas used to put avocado in their tortas but I guess it’s gotten to expensive now so don’t expect much. The torta had one very thinly sliced piece of avocado that was almost paper thin and see through. That wasn’t even the worst part about the torta. I didn’t think they could dry out fajitas any more but the fajitas in the torta was even drier than in the quesadilla. If that wasn’t bad enough, I had ordered lengua and not fajita. How on earth could anyone mistake fajita for lengua. How disappointing to get home and find that this restaurant had made this mistake not once but for the second time and the last time for me. Yes, they had made this same mistake before though I don’t really think it was a mistake. I won’t say where else to go but I will say forget this location. I'm so disappointed in the service I received today. As soon as I walked in I stood in front of my order, Eli was in the register by her self, I was not acknowledged by anyone for the next 5 or so minutes, Eli walked away without even asking what I was going in there for. Miriam then walked up to the register and still I was never acknowledged. She asked another guy that was right behind me what service he needed and 2 minutes later she asked me if I was paying cash or debit, then asked if I was there for a pick up. I asked for both their names since I was not serviced in a professional way. "Even Meseras have to service a customer a certain way". On top of all that, I get to my office where the employees were eagerly waiting on their orders, just to find out that they did not add any salsas, sour cream etc. on their order. Now, If you don't add that unless we ask for it, why did you not ask? or at least add the salsas. Every Mexican restaurant knows a to go order has to have their salsas. Please talk to your staff. We like the food but if those mistakes keep happening, We for sure wont be one of the Agencies to place orders in your...

If I could give them a negative star I would. I called three times today and all three times that I called I was hung up on. On the fourth time a lady answered and she was nice. When I went to pick the food up everything was fine. It wasn’t until I left that I realized I forgot my lemonade. I got there at 11:27. I waited until 11:40 before I had to walk up to one of the staff and ask for help. They completely ignored me. 3 mexican families walked in during my wait and they were immediately sat down but because IM BLACK I’m was treated very differently. All money spends the same!! My money is no less than their money! I wanted a refund but they didn’t know how to do it so I took the lemonade but I will never go back there and I will never recommend this place to any one of color or no one for that matter.
