The first expression I have for this restaurant is that with this name, this place is definitely not authentic, it sounds like Thai version of Panda Express. However, the friend that brought me here said they just tried to use this name to draw in more none Asian customers, but probably they loses more Asian customers throughout the years. Their food is authentic and tasty. Most importantly, their price is fair compared to other Thai restaurants. The steam fish with spicy and sour sauce is a must order here. We almost finished the soup, and it goes well with the rice. We also ordered a squid salad and papaya salad. I personally recommend their squid salad, but both of them are fresh. Pad Tai is also recommended that it tastes creamy. We ordered a few seafood appetizers, which I think is average. I would recommend order more main dishes. Overall, this place is another Thai restaurant I recommend. It's a good place for a group of friends to have lunch together.

We've been regulars at Thai Spice on Bellaire for over almost 20 years. We moved away from the area a while back, and on our recent visit, we found out that the owners and the staff had changed. This spot has been our go-to Thai restaurant, and we were super hesitant to order and try the food after a management change. First of all, I have to commend the change in the upgraded interior of the restaurant. The long-running business was in need of a makeover, and it definitely got one. We ordered our usual favorites, Fried Tilapia, Tom Yum Kung, and Chinese broccoli. We were pleasantly surprised to say that the food was delicious and very close to, if not exactly, what we had tasted before the change in ownership. The new staff was very friendly and helpful, and our server always had a smile on her face. We're happy that the restaurant we consider a staple of the Chinatown community has kept their traditions alive!

Great selection, amazing service, clean place... but I can’t recall when was the last time I had that much oil on my plate. This was the regular red tofu curry with “vegetables” (I only found cabbage). Tastes fresh, with a notch over my preferred spice level, but I can’t find the use of emptying the oil bottle on my dish and the others table dishes too. Not sure if I would come back though, I prefer to save my oil intake for a manchego cheese quesadilla, Nutella bread or pesto pizza.

I have been visiting this Restaurant for over 30 some years, even before I got my two kids. Love the food that so often to go back with my husband and kids. I just visited yesterday 03-22-24 and found out this restaurant had been sold to a new owner for over 4 months ago. I ordered the lunch specials and the price jumpe up from 7.99 to 9.99 and the food was terrible.Time was 11:45 am to 12:15 pm . The soup was room temperature and the rice was cold not even warm. The chicken that even doesn't taste like a chicken and the fish wasn't taste like the fish that's only flour. I will never leave food on the plate because I don't want to waste the food and my money. But I didn't enjoy my food and have to stop eating and leave. I am very disappointed and talk to the employee to mention that why the soup and the rice is not hot during the lunch hours. And suggested that they should rise up the temperature so that the food will be hot to serve. Anyway. I will not go back to visit at all. The quality of the food changed. As a customer I don't mind to pay a little more if that the food I like and will keep go back to enjoy the food. But that's not the case. If they keep serving the food cold and bad quality food that will lose their business. Just hope the owner will read this message and learn how to keep customers happy to keep business...

My friends spoke very highly of this place so when I finally came here, I was highly disappointed. First, it's similar setting to a fast food place, you go up to the front and order first, they bring you your food, and you pay after which doesn't make sense to me. Second, the food was extremely mediocre...It definitely is spicy but there's no flavor or taste really to it. The fried chicken was really tough that it was impossible to cut with a butter knife they give you. The beef and vegetable thing (not sure what it's called because my friends ordered this) had no taste to it. The only semi-good thing is the fish thing (not sure what this is called either) and I don't even like fish. Overall, food is just meh, I would rather go to Thai Gourmet or Nidda Thai Cuisine. Price is decent, but not enough to make me want to go back.

What I ordered: Sticky rice with fried chicken Papaya salad Some beef thing with vegetable Some fish...
