The food is fresh and tasty. The broths are spicy and hot. Loved the lotus root, and all of the veggies you can add to the broth. We had 5 people, so we had two hotpots. One was the half spicy- half bone broth. The other one was bone broth. Theres a chicken abd cabbage broth I wanted to try, but it was even spicier than the red one. The seafood is on the buffet and included shelled and unshelled shrimp, several fish, octopi, and clams. I think tgere was seaweed and jellyfish too. The rice and noodles are precooked on a buffet also. Then all types of tofu and protien (vegatarian) type food are on the other side of buffet. The eggrolls, lobster dumplings, and sides are on a different buffet too. And then they have a white cake, a mocha cake, and swirled icecream. If you get the all you can eat it also includes your drinks. Make sure to grab 2 or more, as they are about 6 oz . The whole per person cost is around $25 plus tax and tip. So it came to less than $30/ person, depends on your adders. Their spices are whole spices, so watch that you don't eat them. Mouth full of woody nutmeg will really spoil the mood. The hot pots can take time to come to a boil. We had a person with a swallowing problem and the servers found them a knife, which we appreciated. There' s a stragedy needed to put foods that need cooking more in first and put things you need to watch in the slotted ladle where they are easily found. Their crab legs are very hard to manage, I would skip them next time. Their bathroom tend towards being messy, especially when busy. Not sure if that could be addressed? Overall, it was a fun...
Read moreCame here 3/26/18 with a food club. The restaurant was in an easy to find part of town and had a spacious parking lot with plenty of open spaces. When we walked in we were greeted and seated right away. No wait for a table! The atmosphere is modern and spacious and looks ready to accommodate a variety of crowd.
Now for the food! This was a first for many in our group, so we had to wing it on what to order and just try a lot of things. The food came out very quick. And it was a fun experience putting together our own montage of tastes. We tried everything from octopus to quail eggs. My personal favorite addition was the fried tofu.
As for cleanliness, the place is kept exceptionally clean. The same can be said for the restrooms. Although, we did experience a fly or two buzzing around and landing on some of our food, but I wouldn’t take marks off for it.
Value! Most common forms of payment were accepted, so that was a plus. We all opted for the “all you can eat” special, which saved us money in the end, but at over $20 each, I wouldn’t say it was cheap. Not too expensive either. Let’s call it moderately priced.
Overall, putting together your own meal like this while amongst friends is a great experience and I’d recommend trying it at least once. It’d be great for a date and maybe even kids too. Either way, this is an experience you want to share with someone.
Only qualm, which is a slight one, the waiter seemed like he was just not really feeling being there and it showed throughout the visit. He maintained great service and kept our drinks constantly refilled, though,...
Read more(in regards to the All You Can Eat Hot Pot) Broth is good (not really spicy), first round of meat is fine. Service Slowly goes downhill from there
Our (weekend) price was 22.99 each. The visit was about 2h long.
I was there with a party of 8 (including myself), most of us being young men of strong appetites and large capacities.
The first round of meats was fine, they brought out a nice amount that left plenty of room for another round or three.
After this is where it goes from a 4 to 3 star (borderline 2*)
The waiter was hard to get for the next round of meats to where I had to (unfortunately) flag him over.
The next round was somewhat small, and the waiter was rather rude (somewhat understandably) in passing it to us and was much harder to get the attention of again for the very inevitable 3rd round.
Around the 4th round, one of the waitresses (possibly the manager) began giving backhanded remarks and in essence urged us to leave.
Keep in mind although there were 4 rounds, they gave small plates with 10-12 thinly sliced meats to share after the 2nd round between the 8 of us, in 3 varieties. It did not last very long.
Our total came out to be 258(plus or minus 5) dollars, granted it was tip and a number of...
