Timmy's Choice — Restaurant in Houston

Something has changed since I've last visited this establishment many moons ago. I recall the food being pretty good the last time I visited but now I see a lot has changed for the worst. First off the building looks terrible on the outside. You'd almost think it was a vacant building if you didn't see cars parked out front. This is the first impression that you will get from just driving up. Walking up to the door I can already see that the inside isn't much better and the doors leading into the restaurant are dirty and have spray paint on them. Entering the restaurant you are hit with a stench that is not food. It is an offensive odor that resembles something that you'd smell coming from a toilet or plumbing. That should have been my cue to leave but I was hungry and figured the food would still be the same. Well it wasn't the chicken tasted quite different from what I remember. I don't think I'll be returning again. If I'd take a wild guess I'd say that ownership or management has changed and whoever is in charge isn't concerned about offering a quality environment with good quality food to the community. I think the people in the area should stop patronizing that restaurant until they put more effort into making the establishment presentable and clean things up. I had the most horrible experience at this place. If I could give them a zero I would. I've lived right up the street from them for years. I passed by there often and was hesitant about stopping there because of the appearance and I never saw much business there. I got desperate for some crawfish and decided to give them a try. I also tried the sweet and sour pork. I pulled up to the window to pay. There was mold in the ugly turnstile that spint around to get the payment and give your food as well. I got home there was no sauce on the pork. It was mostly dough saturated in oil with a tiny dried up piece of meat in it. The crawfish were so dirty and nasty. They must have boiled the crawfish in swamp water. There were actual weeds in my crawfish! I called to let them know there was no sauce on my sweet and sour pork and the person I spoke with blamed me! She said there was a sign that said I should have checked the food before I left. She offered no apology. I spent $22 on that slop. I took the loss and threw it all in the trash. If they were the last place on earth, I'll NEVER go back. Gross food, gross building and horrible customer service. Pass this place up like i should...

Please don’t waste your time & money eating from this place. It has gone down and the food or service isn’t the same. This place needs to be closed indefinitely. My husband went on 9/02/2021 to order some food. At first he had gone through drive thru but was getting no answer so he had to inside. No customer was there , so no reason not to answer. When he was outside an employee who was cleaning the parking lot was arguing with another employee through the drive thru speaker. When my husband went inside a female & male employee were on their cell phones not paying attention. My husband proceeded to order and while waiting for his food, the two employees were also arguing with each other. Also the styrofoam containers are sooo cheap the heat from the food melts right through the container. The quality of the food is not good at all. No flavor or love in it. But then again what can one expect from a place of business like this? The owners or city need to shut this place down. Not...
