We went here as a mutual brunch place to meet with our friends. I love the location but wish they had parking with cooperative parking app. It’s typical downtown issues. I wish they had more staff to assist him because it’s not fun waiting for our food when it’s just us. Our latte took forever. I will say I do appreciate his help with the fruit cup as an appetizer for us while we wait for our food. He was helpful with the water in the water station. The banana foster French toast was delicious. I was happy about it. I always love going to local places so the ambiance is nice.

This place is a hidden gem! I was in town for 3 days for Christmas and came here twice. The bananas foster French toast was incredible and the chicken and waffles were on the same level. Both times I came they were empty but I think it’s the location because everything about this place is cool. The service is quick and friendly and it’s also pretty clean. The bathrooms are well kept and they have cool nature and sports posters and provide a full body mirror. They also do karaoke on Fridays I think but that’s cool too. This place is definitely worth a visit.

We just enjoyed brunch at Toasters and it was delicious! My bananas foster was so good! Every bite had perfectly toasted pecans and carmelized bananas. My partner had chicken and waffles and really enjoyed it. They also have sandwiches, burgers, and other food choices. The grits were so good! The atmosphere is reminiscent of a jazz cafe and they even had a small stage with a microphone and speaker for musicians. The staff were kind and attentive. I would highly recommend Toasters to anyone who finds themselves in the downtown Houston area!

This little gem was a great fine! My family and I were on a trip from Florida to Texas craving a great breakfast/brunch meal. While looking through multiple areas, I was struggling to find just the right one until I found this café upon arriving, we were greeted by what seemed to be the owner and it was only us when we got there around 10 AM. Ordered the food at the front of the counter. Made me a little hesitant at first because of the fact that obviously there was five of us in a party with kids so it’s kind of a halfway self serve when it comes to just the coffee other than that about 15 minutes later a huge pile of about 20 different parties arrived. Thankfully we were the early birds, so it wasn’t for us to get our food. I got the chicken and waffles which was quite deliciou! My wife and kids got pancakes. Breakfast sandwiches you know casual breakfast items everything came out really good hot fresh delicious the only thing that I would say negative, is if you’re coming in, be prepared to wait a little while as it is a smaller non chained establishment which made it even better. Worth the wait! Other than that phenomenal...

I called to make a reservation for 10 people because we were coming in for brunch after the Breast Cancer walk. I spoke with Jerrod ( I hope I spelled your name right) and he was very accommodating. He assured me it would be no problem and it was not although only 6 of the 10 people showed up. The atmosphere although dated was nice. It wasn't so bad that I couldn't enjoy my food but it felt kind of dank. The nice lady taking the order was super sweet and offered recommendations and everything. When the food came it did take a little while but nothing to extreme expect for 1 person in our party. His food took some time to come out. Most of our orders were correct and some were not. The nice lady who took our orders came over and apologized for mixing it up and I totally understood her. The only issue was we didnt like the grits and the gentlemen told us he would take it off the bill and didnt do so unless he did and didn't give us the receipt to show proof. All in all I would most definitely...

The food was excellent! We ordered shrimp & grits and chicken and waffles. You get the sense that it is a small, possibly family-run business with not too much experience as a brick & mortar restaurant. For example, there seemed to be only two people on staff and the food was served in to-go containers with party pack silverware. The service was still great and this made it easy to pack up your leftovers and take them home :D There is some patience necessary because the food is made fresh to order. The staff does let you know more or less how long your order will take, which was appreciated. The quality and taste of the food definitely makes it worth the wait! The seasoning in the chicken breading/batter makes me want to try the catfish and grits next. I really hope they do well and stick around because the quality of the food can definitely...
