Championship Park — Attraction in Houston

Championship Park has been a favorite spot of mine for a number of years. For being directly adjacent to downtown Houston it is surprisingly peaceful. If you are interested in exploring some of Houston's past I strongly recommend visiting. The old and historic Willow Street Pump Station (The old red brick building with two smoke stacks.) is right next to the park. I like this park because it’s soo peaceful and it’s directly connected to the Buffalo Bayou, and a bike trail. The reason I didn’t give it a five star is because all of the homeless people who are on the trail. Note they will not bother you or ask for money but it’s just a sad site to see. Since they have moved out the squatters this park has really come into its own. I enjoy the peace and quiet, even with it's close proximity to the freeway.
