Championship Park has been a favorite spot of mine for a number of years. For being directly adjacent to downtown Houston it is surprisingly peaceful. If you are interested in exploring some of Houston's past I strongly recommend visiting. The old and historic Willow Street Pump Station (The old red brick building with two smoke stacks.) is right next to the park. Read moreI like this park because it’s soo peaceful and it’s directly connected to the Buffalo Bayou, and a bike trail. The reason I didn’t give it a five star is because all of the homeless people who are on the trail. Note they will not bother you or ask for money but it’s just a sad site to see.
