Visited this location, before heading back to Dallas. Very nice little shop with the sweetest lady. They have ice cream, drinks, candies, conchas, and so much more. There’s so many flavors to choose from, and the lady was kind enough to be patient and answer any questions we had. The shops is indeed small. 3-4 people seemed okay. But when more individuals entered, including families, it was very tight. Not really much room to enter, order, and exit. So be mindful of peak hours, if you don’t know what to order or need time/space to think. They accept card and cash (preferably smaller notes like $10/$5/$1s) The customer service was so wonderful and the food was so delicious, we went back inside 3/4 times to order more. Money well spent on quality! The vanilla concha’s were soft and so sweet! Loved the mazapan ice cream(if you love peanut or nutty ice cream, it’s heavenly) and even bought a few candies for the road. The Aguas frescas were so delicious and the horchata too. This is definitely a little shop that feeds every sugar craving! It’s also a gift shop and convenience store for snacks, sodas, and little souvenirs.

We have been coming to Treats of Mexico for years, and let me tell you — this place is truly something special! The service is outstanding — the owners and staff are the most noble, humble, and genuinely kind people you’ll ever meet. They speak both English and Spanish, making everyone feel welcome.

We actually live about an hour away, but every time we’re in the city, we always make time to stop by. That’s how amazing their treats are! Now that they’ve moved to a bigger location, it’s even better, they’ve added clothes, beautiful artesanías, and Mexican treats that are hard to find!

This trip, we ordered: đŸŒœ Elote – hands down, the BEST elote I have ever had. đŸ„ Agua fresca de mango – pure heaven! You can taste the real mango, and it’s so refreshing. đŸ„ Mangonada – I’ve had plenty in my life, but this is without a doubt the best one ever! Real mangos, real mango ice cream (also made with real fruit!), and the perfect balance of sweet, tangy, and spicy. And a đŸ„ Mango Ice cream cup- My daughter devoured her mango ice cream before I could even take a picture!

Everything here is made with natural, fresh ingredients, and you can taste the difference in every bite. They have something for everyone, the prices are super reasonable considering the top-notch quality, and the atmosphere is so friendly and welcoming.

I truly wish they had locations everywhere, because this is THE SPOT. If you’re anywhere nearby, do yourself a favor and stop in, you’ll thank...

Zero stars if that was an option. I walked in at 6:30 pm today and I have a service pet. My pet has her service vest & card but as soon as we walked in, a women up front said “sorry she can’t be in here”. I stated that I could provide her with my service pet ID where she could contact the ADA if it was really an issue. Instead she rolled her eyes and walked away so we walked out. I rather spend my money elsewhere because obviously this business doesn’t deserve it. So if you have a disability, don’t waste your time because they don’t respect that. Oh and yes I will be reporting my experience! UPDATE: since the owner claims he/she saw no vest, we actually took pictures outside this business with my pet because it looked pretty on the outside and we were traveling! The vest clearly says “Service Animal. DO NOT PET” but I guess whoever greeted us must of spoken too soon. Still don’t recommend this place because this isn’t how you treat customers. If having a service animal in this business WASN’T an issue, there was no need for the eye roll or attitude. Never have we been treated like that because before you speak on someone’s situation, the proper way to handle it would be to ask beforehand. HOWEVER, we did find a place with much better customer service only a few minutes down the road called Refresqueria Tampico & the treats there are...
